Yep, Sabatini started well, but when Roma needed take the next step, he failed miserably. 3 poor mercatos in a row so far (counting last winter mercato).
Agnelli, Marotta, and Paratici are great. They are among the very best in their positions in the football industry. We are very lucky to have the trio.
With a management as good as ours, Roma would have progressed faster, but they couldn't have progressed as fast as us however. And that's because of the sizable difference in the number of supporters. Juve and the two Milan teams have the largest fanbases of the Italian teams. Roma's is comparatively less. Fanbase size is very important because it's directly correlated with income. That's why Thohir's Inter is likelier to win a meaningful trophy first before Roma (and Milan). Inter's operations aren't as poor as Berlu's and Galliani's Milan, and they have the large fanbase that Roma doesn't.
Pretty stupid thing to say, a rather embarrassing excuse. Our revenue has been growing because we've been successful. Theirs remained stagnant because they're $#@!. When both teams are equally successful, net income of the two clubs should be comparable (as it used to be, and they're not THAT far behind) because the fanbase sizes are comparable (with us having a slightly bigger fanbase).
They'll miss him in a couple of games, but will be fine with Gabbiadini in most games.
