Romagnoli is good for his age imo, but he still need a proven defender by him (Alex, Mexes etc.).

Ely was nominated in the Serie B XI, but he has been very disappointing for Milan. Look likes a frustrated stupid amateur.

Donnarumma is playing good imo, he played only 2 matches for Milan and he is only sixteen (!!). That Berardi free kick was really good. I am a goalkeeper and it is really hard to dive to a side when your footwork is staying to the other side (sorry for bad explanation, its really hard for me to explain in English). But a really expierenced keeper, could have save that. Out of 10 times, it will be netted 6/7 times believe me.

De Sciglio = decent, nothing more, mid-table team player.

Calabria: Biggest surprise, plays really mature, good defending and that is nowadays rare, football IQ and a good cross.

My opinion btw, i know what you mean. De Sciglio and Donnarumma are mid-table players and Calabria & Romagnoli are subtop so far.

Are those players good?

Romagnoli is/should be.

De Sciglio hasn't developed as hoped.

All I've seen Ely do is get sent off stupidly.

Donnarumma has played two games and made big errors in both - on Sassuolo's goal and missing a high ball in the last minute against Chievo that should have cost Milan two points but the referee bailed him out.


I don't mean to seem overly harsh on young players, but Milan's senior players being shit enough that these kids are getting a chance to play doesn't automatically mean they are good.

I don't think Ely is particularly good, in fact he looks a bit crap. Calabria is making a similar kind of impact that De Sciglio did early on, and Santon I suppose, so who knows how that will end up...

I guess that Milan are doing ok in the table now so all is fine. But long term I'd be surprised if they do much with kids at the back.

That Berardi free kick was really good. The other thing Sassuolo did is put players into the wall on the scoring side, which fools the keeper a little into thinking that there is some protection there so he takes a little step to his left, which is where the shot would normally be placed (over the Milan wall) by a left footer.

Half our goals conceded have been due to midfield errors. I mean Chiellini took the stupid red card, but Lemina made the stupid foul that allowed that free kick against Sassuolo. Pogba fouled Dzeko for the free kick that allowed Pjanic to open the scoring. Insigne's goal and the Chievo goal were both on shots from outside the box where our midfielders should have closed these players down.

Our defense is at fault for maybe 4 goals this year. And it's not like our defensive record is really that bad, considering we've allowed 10 goals in 13 matches this season. It's entirely on our midfield and attack, our poor results.

Plus with a functioning midfield that keeps possession like we used to, we wouldnt have half these chances made against us in the first place.

Probably an Inter win, because sooner or later they'll drop enough points, you can't keep playing average and getting decisions and winning. Not that I'll ever support Inter winning a game.

No chance we are winning the Scudetto, so the head thinks it is better for Inter to lose, fortunately at least one will drop points.

But we should really worry about ourselves rather than other teams just now.

I'm looking at the table and only teams placed 17,18 and 19 have scored lesser number of goals than Inter. They ain't winning with that kinda returns.
