La Liga has been getting recognition, even the ones 3 place and below. Most people are aware of the spanish quality and how they dominate European football and international competition, they do get that recognition however that recognition doesn't suddenly turn into financial gains. There's no guarantee that Serie A would have it any different either. Let's just crush them roaches and dominate all them maggots. Easy.
That is what I was aiming at , imho the recognition is worthless if it doesn't give you more money , because in the end the teams with more money will come and get your best players in which case you will either have to go back to anonimity or be good enough every time to find a suitable replacement which ain't easy at all .

I know we have a big distance with bundesliga , but IIRC we aren't that far away with la liga , on the other hand the english make more money than all the other major leagues combined
Now THAT'S dominance! I want us to be to Serie A, what the EPL is to the rest of Europe. I want us to buy Napoli.

Absolutely agree with you! Not only that, we wouldn't be rushing to sell our top players either, for what seems to be "big" money because of a provincial starving mentality. 37mil equates to a 90mil deal lol

Moaning about our jersey too ? What's wrong with u ffs
In the according thread a hundred of ppl are moaning about the jersey and yet you pick on me. The jersey is like the face of the club for the year. We have to look at it for 50 matches.

Milan jersey has downsides too:
-red tone ugly
-silver stripes don't suit the design
-no club crest
-english flag way too big
-sponsored by terrorists

I seriously think that if things progress as they are , with the EPL making more money with each tv deal every year and increase the distance even more every year with other leagues , we will see the EPL becoming an NBA type league where every other league in the world will exist only to fill them with players and the CL will simply become another worthless Cup Competition which the world will consider having the worth of the FA Cup .

And that my friend will be when I'll completely give up on organized sports.

Look at the quality of stadiums in Italy and england, ffs look at the cameras and their positioning and quality in serie A (quality level slum) and epl. We just cannot have that quality of telecast and hope to capture a market. You guys think players prefer epl to serie A because we have three spots? Or because the huge difference in revenue is because of only 3 teams in serie A?

No one cares, if even two serie A teams manage to establish a huge fan base in asiabthe money we get from tv rights and sponsors would shoot up massively, sadly we just are ages behind epl and laliga when it comes to quality promotion and marketing.

We did have 4 cl spots not long a ago, still the tv revenues and whatever sources pay epl more than us always did the same, it does not matter. France has a shit league, yet monaco and psg manage to sign whoever they want. Yeah they are backed by filthy rich owners but we should break outta the bubble that getting 4 CL spots for serie a would suddenly make players prefer us or serie A would earn more money and close the finiancial gap to epl.

So fuck the co efficients, i hope viola get their ass handed to them and roma are humiliated by everyone.

:agree: agree with everything . The stadiums problem is a big one , the marketing one is the biggest .

It's also a language thing. All of Latin America fap to Real or Barca, US&Asia&India fap to EPL, Serie A and to a higher degree the Bundesliga don't have a market.
While I agree that language is a factor , I don't think it's a deciding one . I understand in the US that they want to see the EPL , but in Asia the majority of the population doesn't speak english , or they speak it as a second language . Most of the commentary is always done in native so I don't see how language can be a big problem .

Which is important, and an advantage for the Anglosphere across all business.

We need to go all out in Serie A and reclaim that first place in coming months.

These poor results in three games really gave other clubs big adventage.

More teams in the CL is likely to build the prestige of Serie A and eventually lead to more money from TV and sponsors, though.
Likely being the word. It is a guarantee on the other hand that if two teams qualify they get more money.

It's a multitude of things, not just the stadiums and the production values which makes the EPL so appealing, it's the style of football.

We score, you score, we score, you score. It's playstation football, this makes for a great spectacle and thus pulls in the viewers. Tactics go out the window in England that's why the league is so successful in terms of viewership across the globe.

Italy will never appeal to the masses because of the style of play and because it's tactics-orientated. Even when Serie A was the greatest league in the history of the sport in the '80s and '90s it didn't get massive viewers across the world. In the UK where it was on free TV it only managed about 3 million viewers every Sunday, at its peak.

The EPL is a dumbed-down version of football, and the masses love it.

Never thought I would start hating Nainggolan so much as I do now. Always wants to talk crap about us, he's more obsessed with Juve than Roma
