Napoli: 'Higuain ban lacks credibility'

Napoli released a statement noting Gonzalo Higuain’s ban “is a missed opportunity to give credibility to the whole system.”
The four-match ban was reduced to three on appeal today, but the Partenopei were hoping to have it halved.
Despite initially positive comments from their lawyer, the club and President Aurelio De Laurentiis released a damning statement.
“We note the decision of the Court of Appeal, observing the lack of courage to truly ensure clarity and give justice back to the player and club.
“This is a missed opportunity to give credibility to the entire system.
“We are profoundly disappointed.”
Higuain was sent off for two bookable offences against Udinese, which prompted an automatic one-game ban, but another three were added on for insulting the referee, placing his hands on the official's chest and attempting to attack Dias Felipe.
Napoli are protesting that referee Massimiliano Irrati's report was considered sacrosanct, ignoring video evidence presented which they believe suggested it was Irrati who moved towards Higuain.
Khedira gets 2 games ban for saying while going away "he is dumb" while Higuain gets 1+2 for reacting violently multiple times telling the refree "you're a bastard, you're a bastard" trying even more times to go to Felipe to do God know what and then being pulled by his team mates out of the field! and we can't forget how he pushed the refree!
