Serie B season postponed

The start of the 2015-16 Serie B season has officially been postponed from August 22 to September 5.

This decision was confirmed by the Lega Serie B, who met this evening (8.07) to discuss the situation.

There had been calls to delay the start of the campaign following a series of scandals.

Catania are at the forefront in the match-fixing allegations, while Parma cannot take part after their bankruptcy.

It’s not clear yet who will be in the Serie B tournament.
