De Rossi to avoid punishment
By Football Italia staff

Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi will reportedly avoid punishment for insulting Mario Mandzukic.

The Giallorossi vice-captain was caught on television appearing to describe the Juventus forward as “a damn gypsy” during a confrontation in last night’s match.

However, Calciomercato reports that television evidence will not be considered by the Lega Serie A disciplinary committee, so De Rossi will avoid a fine or suspension.

The Italian international also stood on Mandzukic’s toe, but was booked for the incident at the time and so will receive no further punishment.

Depends on where we draw the line. Either all insults are fair or none of them are.
You can't draw the line technically when it comes to insults on a football pitch.

I can say horrible things about your mom or your wife without even having to mention them, it's part of the game, there are professionals calmer than the ice and there are hot headed ones, it'll always be like this.

More quotes guys, please  milan, inter, roma, just whatever worthy you find, want to have some laugh in the morning :D
'It's not just that.
Rube has an amazing winning mentality, they have it in their DNA.
While we suffer, even when we are winning, and then choke at the smallest mistake.
It's all in the head.'

'well, it's not ALL in the head. maybe some of our players are not that good and maybe the coach, too, is not that good. i mean, there is a reason why players like ljajic are worth around 10 million euros and not much more: they are not so good as you would think after one of their best matches. that being said, the head is playing a role, of course.

after yesterday's matches, it is clear to anyone that we cannot compete for the scudetto. sure, that was quite clear to most people even before yesterday, but now we can tell without the tiniest piece of doubt. and that is not just because napoli is 6 points ahead of us, but simply because they are a much better team than us and so is juventus. and they both have a better coach, a decent game plan, and so on.

up until a month ago or so, we were just like a car in a grand prix which is in the first position because the team has given his 100% while better cars have made many mistakes. now we are the ones screwing everything up and the two better cars have solved their problems, leaving us with our real competitors: fiorentina, roma and, who knows, maybe even sassuolo and milan (think about it, if we lose the derby, they get quite close to us).'

Could be, but he stated on several occasions that he admires both Totti and DDR.

I thought only Fr3sh was foolish enough to say that.

Atleast Totti is completely brilliant football genius to atleast excuse the affinity a little despite cuntiness. While DDR has been inconsistent and mediocre for so long and is even bigger of a scumbag then Totti. Complete neanderthal, and a faschista to boot.

What? Totti did fuck all in 06. And screwed Italy over in 02. Buffon and our defensive line won Italy the World Cup in 06, not that turd Totti. Totti's great moment with the Azzurri came at Euro 2000. Aside from that he was decidedly mediocre with the Azzurri.

It seems Napoli gonna fight us till the end!
It's a good team fosho. Their only weaknesses are lack of depth in CM and not having a backup for Koulibaly. They're addressing both this mercato.....though I'm not sure how good Grassi is. Must be better than David Lopez. They targeted better CMs and stoppers at first. They'll sign them in summer.

Our schedule in the closing stages is fairly easy. We're doing a good job of keeping up with Napoli now. Easier fixtures towards the end and our winning mentality and experience in winning the league (vs. Napoli lacking such experience) will see us through in the end.

Selling Kovacic is proving a costly mistake. They have a midfield of muscle and no brains and no creativity at all. The money spent of kondogbia should have been used to keep Kovacic. Higuain would be a slight improvement for them. You shouldn't complain about lacking good strikers when you have Icardi (very good poacher), Jojo, Palacio and Ljajic but have Medel, Melo, Brozovic and kondogbia in midfield to dictate play. Its not rugby.
Kovacic is a bit overrated and wasn't a guaranteed starter for them. They did well selling him for a nice lump sum, using which they were able to build a team and take care of FFP issues. They pretty much HAD to sell Kovacic.

Mancini did pretty well with the players he selected in the mercato for the most part but fvcked up big time spending 20m on Perisic. Had those 20m been invested more wisely, they would have had a decent attack.

The brawn in their midfield (and general ball-winning ability as a team) is one of their key strengths (others being the CB pair and Handa), perhaps their most important strength. Felipe Melo will always have his moments, but he's a key player for them.

In the end, with the financial constraints and the lack of quality they had in a plethora of positions in the squad, it was impossible for any director to make them a scudetto contender over that one summer. And they never remotely looked like one despite some people thinking otherwise. If they can finish top-3, that'll be a good achievement for them. Fiorentina and Roma aren't looking any better, and neither are making great moves in the mercato. Signing someone like Lavezzi can make a difference for Inter.

Gollum going full retard to say Roma deserved points...

We only had 2 shots on target? Dybala forced 2 saves + scored. Cuadrado forced a save. Bonucci forced a save. Evra forced a save. Right there, that's 6 shots on target.

Gollum
He has been making this type of comments for years, and they always come back to slap him in the face, yet he never learns, lol.

A little anedocte about Kevin Lasagna.
The bank I work for has a national football team that played a friendly/charity game vs Carpi. One of my fellow colleagues, who is also part of the gang travelling to the Stadium for the games, played that game which was held the same day Juve played Real Madrid away. After the game, they watched the Juve game all together in a pub and when Morata scored Lasagna jumped on the table and started to scream his head off :nico::nico: like most Carpi players (Lollo and Romagnoli were pretty wild too, apparently, and only Letizia was shouting for Real being a merda fan).

I spoke to my mate last night and he told me: "when I saw Lasagna scoring vs merde @ San Siro in the last minute, after seeing his hysiterical reaction after Morata's goal, I was worried he might pull his pants down and start a wankfest in front of the cameras"

But I read on football-italia and they said Lasagna was an Inter fan? :boh:
