Pescara stand named for Morosini

The away end of Pescara’s Stadio Adriatico has been named after Piermario Morosini a year on from the Livorno player’s death here.

On April 14 2012 Pescara were playing against Livorno in a Serie B game when Morosini collapsed and his heart stopped. An autopsy found an undiscovered heart defect.

Today the Mayor of Pescara Luigi Albore Mascia unveiled a plaque in the stadium dedicated to Morosini and the away end has been named after him.

“We do not want to forget that dramatic day that struck Pescara and the entire country. We wanted something to remain that would show the affection for an unlucky boy who left us all too soon.”

Udinese-owned midfielder Morosini died at the age of 26.

Nice gesture by Pescara

Zanon scores an own goal, Siena 2-0 Pescara. Zanon is probably the worst player in any professional football league in Europe - he makes a huge mistake every single game.

Serie A also want a 3rd non-EU spot.
I was looking at the foreigner-domestic ratio for the top leagues in the English media yesterday, because they are again complaining about the number of foreigners here.

I remember I calculated myself 3-4 years ago the number of foreign players in Serie A was 38%, which was comparable to something like 60% in the PL.

2012-13:

Premier League 66%
Serie A 54%
Bundesliga 49%
Ligue 1 43%
La Liga 38%

That's a big increase, so I can see them vetoing any kind of increase.

Serie A clubs wanting a "B" team in the Lega Pro. I'd be for that.
I don't think the Lega Pro president is really down for that:

“Youth teams in Lega Pro? This is the last thing we will do, It is nonsense."

“If there is this desire from Serie A sides, perhaps they should let their young players play in Serie A.”
:D He has to protect his member clubs I suppose.

3 points or 30 points. It doesn't matter.

Milan will make CL because they'll be getting all the calls in their favour.

FIGC wants Milan in the CL.

Whatever they call it, we'll dominate it. :juventus:

Well look who's got time on his hands. :D

Let's "eliminate" him.

Fiorentina are beating Atalanta. They are three points away from Milan.

Forza Napoli :weee:
oh come on! A draw would be sweet.
