€11m Napoli bid for Kucka rejected - http://www.football-italia.net/32324/€11m-napoli-bid-kucka-rejected

Milan agree (5m + bonuses) Kucka deal? - http://www.football-italia.net/31957/milan-agree-kucka-deal

Sounds about right, given the relationship between Genoa and Milan.

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has outlined his plans to revolutionise the Italian club game.

The Azzurri owner thinks that four steps need to be taken in order to reform football on the peninsula.

Firstly, he wants clubs to focus more on developing young Italian players rather than spending money on foreign imports. He would then, secondly, give them a platform to play.

“We need to form players for the future because we can’t keep buying from outside of Italy,” the movie mogul argued.

“All that is needed for that is to then allow our youth teams to take part in the Lega Pro Divisions. That would help our youngsters and their value grow.

“We would therefore already have a reservoir that would guarantee us reinforcements for the future.”

De Laurentiis also wants to see a change to Serie A, the Italian top-flight which is currently home to 20 clubs.

“It needs to be cut to 16 sides,” he underlined. “And we can’t wait another 10 years in order to reduce those numbers…

“If we want to revolutionise calcio then we can do so in three months!”

The Stadio San Paolo chief finally underlined the need for new stadiums, fan-friendly environments that can generate revenue.

“If I could build a new stadium then I’d get rid of the Curvas behind the goal,” he said somewhat controversially.

“I adore the Curvas and I know how much passion is there, but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t put those spectators in the best possible place to view the games.

“We have to offer the maximum at stadiums, the best facilities, to give a person who pays €10 the same opportunities to watch the game as one who pays €100.

“We have to think that we can’t please everyone because if you try to do that then you won’t make anyone happy.”

In response to that..

'De Laurentiis' ideas are nonsense'

Lega Pro President Mario Macalli has rubbished Aurelio De Laurentiis ' idea of allowing youth teams into the football pyramid.

The Napoli chief had suggested that Serie A sides Primavera outfits be allowed to play in the third and fourth divisions in Italy.

But the head of the lower League has admitted that it will never happen.

“Youth teams in Lega Pro? This is the last thing we will do,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss. “It is nonsense.

“If there is this desire from Serie A sides, perhaps they should let their young players play in Serie A.”

In Marotta's defence, Genoa have a habit of getting their hands on a awful lot of good, young players, so it probably is in Juve's interests to maintain a decent relationship with them.

Is Genoa a listed company?

Suspect Preziosi owns them entirely.

Certainly sounds a shit proposal to me.

Don't think much of having an amount set like that. Why not declare that a wage bill can't exceed whatever percentage of a club's revenue?

Also, what if big clubs like Torino and Samp get relegated again? Are they going to be forced to give up all their players immediately and not be able to get a fair price because Serie A teams know that are obliged to sell them under the rules?

The rule also has to significantly reduce the chances of Serie B clubs surviving in Serie A.

They are going to have to load up on good players as soon as they are promoted, because I can't imagine a team full of players earning next to nothing is going to have the quality to do anything in Serie A.

To put the 150k basic wage in perspective: in Serie B last season, Torino had Bianchi on 1.3m and Samp had Palombo on 1.5m.

What a fucking stupid idea, that's only going to make match-fixing worse. What they really need to do is lessen the amount of teams in the Italian pro football structure.

I actually agree with most of De Laurentiis reforms, and Genoa once again, confirming themselves as disgusting Milan/Inter sluts who basically exist to sell their best playwrs to them cHopefully they are relegated this season, somehow. There is still hope.

That Serie B salary cap idea is absolutely fucking shite. Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with the people who run football in Italy?

I doubt the contribution from any of the Serie B teams to the loan player's wages would be big enough for the salary cap to be an issue.
