Not sure it's a matter of them becoming ambitious.

Think Della Valle has just been waiting for there to be any signs of anything worth backing, pretty much since Prandelli left.

He just hasn't really been willing to throw money around without there being positive signs there to start with.

I'm quite happy to see any Italian side doing something worthwhile just now.

That's not to say I don't want one at least one of Milan, Inter and Roma in crisis at any given time, just for a giggle.

I really hope Fiorentina finish above Roma this season, what with them having Roma's discarded trio of Montella, Prade and Pizarro.

Aquilani, too.

What a decent trolling demonstration that would be.

Yes, and them being close to CL qualification spots coupled with Milan and Inter being weak means their investment now could return in a CL spot, worth the risk for them.

Bonucci's a decent defender, I like the fact that he's quite good on the ball, but he does have the occasional lapse in concentration to be honest.

I'd say that is/was his main weakness, but this season he has kept it cool at the back. Last season he also used to misplace a lot of passes too, which tend to put a lot of unnecessary pressure on our defense. This season he even improved in that aspect. His passes have always been top notch so far. Look, I'm not saying he's without flaws, but to say he's overrated when people are merely describing him for what he is, is a sin. He is showing potential to reach higher heights as a footballer, and what makes me say this is not his technical ability or defending, but the man has heart. Look what did he go through last Summer, and then judge the season he's been having so far.
