Napoli can't change all 11 players like Juventus could (looking forward to the Coppa everyone? :D).

Udinese didn't look too weak on paper, but their result suggests otherwise. Not sure how they performed. Lazio similar.

There isn't really a fix for the Europa League, and certainly nothing clubs/UEFA will agree to.

EL points should be 0.75 of CL 1 at best.
Why? The 4-6 places teams of Spain, England, Germany and Italy are played against each other. If anything it shows the strength of the domestic leagues across the table. Why would you think that only the top teams of the league should be the ideal measure of the strength of the whole league.

This

Italy actually have an advantage since Italy's number four doesn't qualify for CL-qual.

Or split up the Europa League and Champions League coefficients, keep the same scoring.
Bad idea is bad.

Napoli face betting probe
By Football Italia staff

Napoli could be docked points and a number of their players banned as part of the Italian Football Federation’s next stage of their betting probe.

The club have come under the spotlight after former goalkeeper Matteo Gianello was accused of attempting to fix the outcome of a game at Sampdoria in 2010.

Although Paolo Cannavaro and Gianluca Grava rejected Gianello’s requests to help fix the match, the pair could be punished for failing to report the incident.

Juventus boss Antonio Conte is currently serving a suspension for failing to report knowledge of a bid to fix a Siena game while he was Coach in Tuscany.

Napoli, as the club involved, have been deferred along with Grava and Cannavaro. The Azzurri could be fined or even docked points.

Hmm

Probably Napoli would have 1 point reduced at most, and Cannavaro and Grava 3 games suspensions.

Rather my post should read 'should have been 0.75', because now it doesn't matter.
