Left back when Rafinha started for full season, and at times in the past, also full time lb in NT.
He switches back and forth, but lately he's been playing a lot of right back with the emergence of Alaba and Contento. It really depends on the team they face.

Lol, really? Name an LB better then him, except Marcelo (Cole better defensively, Marcelo in overall though). If it takes you a while to come up with names in your head, thats because fullbacks now are extremely meh now (especially left side).
1. Coentrao
2. Marcelo (sorry but If I'm naming a couple who are better than Cole he has to be mentioned)
3. Lahm
4. Alba
5. Baines
6. Clichy
7. Evra / Cole

That's how I'd do the list. Cole gets exposed defensively all the time, it's terrible to watch.

Cole is behind Clichy and Baines? I beg to differ.

Coentrao and Lahm are better, Alba needs to prove himself but so far he looks great. I would say Cole is top 5.

i've seen coentrao several times now and i am not really impressed by him maybe thats because of his heavy fee. for me he is pretty much overrated... and i wouldn't put clichy and baines in front of cole... i have only seen alba in the euros where he was impressiv. man there really are no great lb's out there

btw i think alaba f bayern will be great

I dont even like him, but the above list is absolutely ridicolous. And not just of how little you rate him (Baines and clichy lol, and same level as terribad Evra...), but the clown you have as first is the worst bit...

You should watch him for the Portuguese NT, he's been their best player for the past two tournaments.

Coentrao a clown? The guy is insanely good. That's how I rate Cole because it's what I feel he's playing like at the moment. He's even lost the ability to make those characteristic offensive runs and his man beats him often.

That says it all about LBs these days, but to think he is better then Marcelo, Lahm and Cole is funny to me. I rate Clichy about the same as him, after his fairly fantastic and underrated season with City.
