They didn't turn down shit, this was just something they asked of their buddy Leonardo to do so that Berlu could look like a hero.
Leonardo isn't their buddy, he and Silvio don't get along leading him to get fired and then you saw Silvio went to win back the Milan fans by signing Zlatan and Robinho.

If anything Leonardo is trying to drain Milan and make them suffer under Silvio to make him seem worse, they've tried for Pato, Zlatan and Thiago Silva now. I'm sure there was a serious offer on the table.

this was actually good for the serie A in general...
though i think milan can't build a squad on just 3 players.. they are weaker than last year and we keep on getting stronger...

“We’ll bring in a fifth centre-back,” he revealed. “If Genoa sign Chievo’s half share in Francesco Acerbi then it will be him.

“We’ll get a midfielder too or keep Mathieu Flamini or Alberto Aquilani. We are fine in attack.”

So, there's Milan's mercato.

Abbiati

Abate-Mexes-Silva-Antonini

Nocerino-Montolivo-Muntari

Boateng

Cassano-Ibrahimovic

-----------------------------------------

Amelia

Bonera-Acerbi-Yepes-Mesbah

??????-Ambrosini-Traore

Emanuelson

Pato-Robinho
Gabriel, Strasser, El Shaarawy

That looks a very poor team.

With Seedorf and Nesta there Milan just about had enough presence and intelligence to hold the squad together and make it function reasonably, but they just have too many mediocre players and idiots now.

Ibra will take the first plane outta Milan after he hears Galliani's plans. Can't wait to see Ibra in the PL where he can actually use all of his 195cm without getting refs stopping him.

I'm sure it would only be a minimal fee though. At most a couple of mil, I'm sure they could afford that for another midfielder rather than splashing out a lot more.

THANK YOU PRESIDENT

The decision made by Silvio Berlusconi: "Thiago Silva is staying with us"

Silvio Berlusconi, our president, has decided: "Thiago Silva is staying at Milan." An important decision taken in difficult times and faced with a unique economic proposal. But the decision is always, always with love and openness of mind forever.

Thiago Silva is not simply a champion who tackles and wins back the ball, who, with his team-mates, wins, draws or loses the match. Thiago Silva himself embodies the class and style of Milan, the charisma of a club that loves the game but also the result and behaviour. And so his stay with the Rossoneri, decided by President Berlusconi, preserves the Milan identity.

Good night to all Milanisti.

And good night from all Milanisti, to the Rossonero, the Rossonero more than any: Silvio Berlusconi.

_____________

I think it makes sense that Silvio will look for investors and then sell it off as his own work of magic for the Milan fans.

Galliani came out asking for the Milan fans to fill the stadium. They'll be squeezing every penny out of them now they've kept Silva. :D

I imagine the transfer will probably turn out like Mesbah. Hyped up by the club, media and fans and turns out to be shit.

Would be funny if Silva hands in a transfer request.
I was thinking the same exact thing yesterday.

Imagine after all of this he says "Nah......................I think I wanna leave."

Oh, that would be sweet, and Milan would have to sell him for far less than that fee because they would have a disgruntled player on their hands.

Oh, the joy.

Having said that, it's an improvement from last season. And Cassano and Ibra can make magic, but we all should know by now that we can't trust Galiani's word in the transfer market. I'm sure he will try to have a surprise signing by end of season and they could try to sell Robinho to generate funds.
