Rossi reveals what Ljajic said
By Football Italia staff

Delio Rossi has revealed exactly what Adem Ljajic said to provoke his physical attack. “I understand Serbian...”

The Fiorentina Coach was sacked after he struck 20-year-old player Ljajic during an incredible dugout brawl following a substitution in Wednesday’s 2-2 draw with Novara.

Rossi accepted the decision and apologised to Ljajic, but refused to confirm or deny what was said during his farewell press conference.

However, he has now told La Repubblica newspaper what sparked his totally out of character fury.

“While he was going back to the bench Ljajic applauded and said to me: ‘Well done, maestro. Really, you’re a phenomenon.’

“I told him he shouldn’t dare behave like that and he offended me in Serbian. But I have trained many Serbian players in my career and I understood what he said.

“He told me to ‘go back in your mother’s ****’ and at that point I lost it.”

The article also claims Ljajic goaded Rossi during the attack, repeatedly telling him to hit harder ‘as they’re going to kick you out anyway.’

Meanwhile, Fiorentina have confirmed Ljajic’s father will not press charges against Rossi, changing his mind after telling the Serbian media he would contact a lawyer.

Ljajic has been frozen out of the squad until the end of the season and is unlikely to ever play for Fiorentina again.

As expected, a spin on the classic "go fuck your mother.

It wasn't that, you can bet on it. It was the fact that some teen punk was making fun of him in such a nervous moment when his team was losing to Novara and risked relegation. He was tensed and nervous and some yesterday born kid sarcastically applauded him.

Why don't you trust Inter? They'll do their best. Chosing between Juve and Milan is like chosing between aids & hiv for them.

I don't think Stramaccioni cares about who wins the Scudetto, he just wants to defeat his rivals.

It's the players I'm worried about. Statements from people like Maicon and Zanetti in the past. Openly declaring that they hate Juve. I've never heard them say that about Milan. They are rivals, surely, but not in the same way. Calciopoli changed everything.

Who knows, though, you might be right. I hate this situation :sergio:

Nah, Zanetti has never said anything like that. Sure Calciopoli changed everything but it didn't change the fact that Inter and Milan hate each other.

Milito said that Inter will win for the fans, Lucio said he will make up for his mistake against Parma and Samuel has never lost a match against Milan in Serie-A.

Stramaccioni: "We want to win the derby."

I don't trust Inter at all, but this is what he said in the press conference...
It's also his first derby, so maybe he'll want to prove a point. Most probably that he's a shit coach though.
