In the 2nd round we play all the top teams at home except Milan. And we're still undefeated. If we're not the favourites, we're damn close.

just out of interest, do you guys still think ranieri is a bad manager? :p
Ranieri had a similar run of great results with Roma too couple of years ago and they ended up 2nd. Next season he was fired.

Been watching Moratti's Inter for years now and personally i expect Ranieri to be fired by next season, he's a great manager when it comes to quick first season results but for the long run IMO He's below average.

Saying this i expect Inter to finnish 2nd this season, Juve 3rd and Milan 1st.

don't think anything has changed this year - Ranieri has always been a very good coach if the team's goal is to make it in the top 2-4 places, but a rather poor choice for a coach if it's aiming higher than that.
So basically if you wanna win. Sucks for the man, but I definitely don't want him to win with Inter of all teams.

He mixed up Coppa Italia and Serie A fixtures
Yes I did, my mistake.

Where did you get this? It's wrong except the Juventus - Udinese match.

Next round Milan will face Cagliari while Inter have Lecce.
You're right, my mistake.

But the odds of Milan winning three points is still very high, which still makes the Juve match up a must win.

Yeah I love it when the Euros or World Cup are on. Since it's so far away here I sometimes don't even sleep for a full 24 hours after watching 2 or 3 matches in a row from like 11pm to whatever time a.m.

I had to take the last 2 weeks off work then because they saw me on TV celebrating after every Italy and Australia game (middle of the night here) then I'd call in sick.

Ahh, great times!

we've been doing well so far, but to win the scudetto has always been about picking up all the 3 points against smaller teams. if we can defeat udinese this weekend that would be extremely useful, one hurdle over with, but these draws with small teams also need to stop.

I hope Chiello will eat Ibra for breakfast someday.

yep. i would really breathe a sigh of relief. 6 points ahead of 3rd place would be great and udinese are a very tough team to beat, even away from home (inter, milan and lazio couldn´t do it).
this being said: they looked very beatable in their last few games + they are missing two key players. i just hope we don´t rush it. conceding first could get us into a quite horrible situation against their professional olympic runners -.-

i wouldn´t worry about inter too early. of course they are on a impressive run but some of those victories came in very lucky. the three 1:0 wins could have easily ended up in draws, milan pretty much gifted them a goal and last night lazio should have scored at least three and conceded none... i have to puke every time when i remember marchetti´s brilliant saves against us and see him fuck up against this weak shot by milito and run around like a headless chicken against pazzini (furthermore he was offside, wasn´t he?). i don´t even want to mention the wasted 99% chances by klose and rocchi...
additionally they will probably reach the cl quarter finals and have a bunch of very tough away games in the second half of the season (as somebody mentioned earlier).
last but not least we shouldn´t panic too early if they get closer at any point at the second half of the season because their last two games will be the derby against milan and an away game to lazio :)

Yup, the schedule favors us.

Juve plays 5 of the better teams home and 1 away:
A - Milan
H - Inter
H - Napoli
H - Lazio
H - Roma
H - Udinese

Inter plays 1 of the better teams at home (their stadium buddies Milan) and 5 away:
A - Roma
A - Napoli
A - Juventus
A - Udinese
H - Milan
A - Lazio

Milan plays 3 of the better teams at home and 3 away
A - Lazio
H - Napoli
A - Udinese
H - Juventus
H - Roma
A - Inter

It's not a big advantage, as our home/away records proves, but it's still an advantage, especially when compared to Inter's schedule.
