Totti seems to be getting a rather hard time in all of this.

Roma should have just stated than all players will be treated equally and gone from there.

Instead they keep banging on about what Totti is or isn't doing.

Oh, and Roma fans I'm speaking to are concerned about the club losing its Roman/Italian identity, with the American owners and signing of lots of foreigners.

They can stay provincial as long as they want, as far as I'm concerned.

What morons, i'd gladly let them have the likes of Iaquinta, Amauri, Pepe & Marchisio for Pjanic, Lamela & Gago.
Meh.

I can see both sides of it.

I'm pretty sceptical about most of Roma's signings and Enrique. They are all very trendy, but not sure that they will be efective.

They certainly have the quality to be effective provided Enrique gets his tactics right, it all boils down to his coaching abilities & man management.

Their defence looks similarly vulnerable to Juve's.

Gago seems an unnecessary signing, given that they have Pizarro - one of the best midfielders in Serie A in recent years.

I don't see them doing well with Enrique.

They do, however, have a decent base to build on for future years, which another manager can benefit from.

I think that's what they're aiming for & by the looks of things, they aren't expecting extraordinary results from Enrique. Regardless of their defensive flaws, they do seem far better equipped to improve on their squad without having to splash huge amounts unlike our team.

They spent almost as much money as us this year though.

I wouldn't say Roma are any better equipped to win soon than Juve.

Juve are a good CB, LB and better LW away from a serious title challenge.

Roma lack a CB and a RB (and another CB soon, since Juan is getting on a bit). But that is assuming all Roma's signings turn out to do well, which is unlikely. At least one or two will struggle, in all probability.

Elia is Juve's only one that there is a good chance of failing.

If Enrique is successful with Roma I bet everybody would look to bring in Barcelona's B coaches. It would be the new trend.

Inter  Complete and utter spastics.

And keep doin' your thang Totti. Roma can sign Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Ronaldo and Oezil and they will still fuck up if they have a cancerous influence like Totti in the ranks.

"It is a surprise to the Nerazzurri, who had signed Forlan believing he'd be part of their Champions League group phase, but did not properly research his status with UEFA."

 Marotta level work from them.

How great would it be if this causes them to crash out of the CL at the group stage and then they proceed to finish outside the top 4 in Serie A? With their astronomical debt and retarded management, the old inter will certainly be back for a long time.
