Because the rate of homosexuality in males is about 8% meaning that some 54 of the 736 players competing in the tournament, if they want to play in this world cup, will have to come to a country where they could be executed just for existing.

In what way is this a response to what is a very serious problem with Qatar hosting this World Cup? It's a complete mockery that FIFA goes so hard on promoting diversity and making up tacky little anti racist slogans to stick on advertising boards for games but then hands a World Cup to Qatar.
