Napoli dropped points ahead of their CL games mainly, up until now they had 6 matches in the group stages. They play in the CL again by the end of February, up until then they have nothing but full focus on Serie A to gain ground again. Now depending on the draw we can tell if they will play more than two matches in the CL. I think Napoli's bad period is already over.

Milan too had their bad period or bad start it was.

And if Inter get back Sneijder and Forlan's form they too will be a threat.
Fatigue will catch Napoli. Milan's bad period had more to the with the schedule, and they'll have those same tough matches again in February. All the teams will keep dropping points. I don't think that any team will have a superior second half. The question is if Juve will do the same or not.

As Alen said...certain teams will drop points as well in the tough games. It's up to use to get 3 points from the teams we think we can walk over.

Hopefully we reinforce a bit in certain areas over winter. I think we can expect Milan (and possibly Inter) to add some quality to their ranks this mercato. Don't think Udinese/Napoli will, and yes Napoli will run out of gas too (as Mazzarri has complained like a little bitch about already). Once their CL kicks off, they will be entirely focused on that. I am not sure what games they have coming up, we have the unfortunate luxury to not have to worry about CL and Coppa really isn't all that tiring either.

The cards are stacked in our favor as our biggest threats have CL/Coppa/League to all worry about. Barring a few injuries at Inter, I think they have a LONG second half of the season ahead of them. I think the pressure to succeed will get the best of them.

Conte, however, has the daunting task of keeping the belief high in the Juve camp. Being in first might scare the team into choking again so hopefully we don't have the same problems as last year(s).

I think Napoli will add another defender, another midfielder, and possibly a striker for the bench. Even more so if they get an easy draw in the CL. I agree on Udinese though, they really have no reason to spend.

Apparently the 18 year Genoa player who collapsed on the sidelines is ok.
What happened though?

I don't think they would add "quality" to their starting 11. I have a feeling they will have the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" policy. Adding depth to their bench won't really give them an extra boost. I can see them spending in the summer though.

I can see them do that too...after they sell all their stars :D

What's annoying is that after all the positive run that we had up until now, udinese have same number of points as us, both Lazio and Milan are just 2 points away.

Any drop of form and we can "easily" find ourselves out of the CL spots. Worrying to say the least.

We weren't that good at the start, bar the Parma and Milan games.
Before Conte found the right players and right formation, we lost pts to some small teams (Chievo, Catania and Bologna). If you think about it, our last two months, or last 7 matches to be more exact, were indeed positive and we did earn lots of points (5 wins and 2 draws against Napoli and Roma) so that's the reason why we think that we have such a positive run. Before these 7 matches we weren't even serie A leaders and we had a 3-4-0 run in the opening 7 matches, including 4 unexpected draws with Chievo, Genoa, Catania and Bologna and a hard fought win against Siena.
