There is one positive aspect if Italy has only 2 teams in CL next year. That will mean that the big market poll will be shared between Juve and Milan and Juve, as serie A winners, will get some 10 million more from TV rights than what we'd get if there are 3 Italian teams.
10 mil € >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Inter or Napoli in the CL

Serie A will always be a great league, no matter what. Juventus is in it, that's reason enough. We don't need Inter or Napoli  to help us rise the reputation of Serie A worldwide.

So, in the end it's gonna be 2 teams for Italy in the CL groups next year
If Bayern win the CL, then these 5 teams will go directly to the 4th qualifying round: Tottenham, Malaga, Monchengladbach, Udinese, Lille.

These will go to the 3rd round: Braga, Spartak Moscow, Dinamo Kiev, Feyenoord, Fenerbahce, Panathinaikos, Rangers, Vaslui (Cluj), Nordsjælland, Club Brugge. Five of these 10 will go to the 4th round.

The coefficient of all 15 teams are as follows:
01.Tottenham ---- 78.1
02.Braga --------- 62.3
03.Dinamo Kiev --- 60.7
04.Panathinaikos - 57.8
05.Rangers ------- 56.0
06. Spartak M. ---- 51.9
07. Fenerbahçe ---- 50.5
08. Lille OSC ------- 40.7
09. Club Brugge ---- 31.4
10. Udinese -------- 27.1
11. Feyenoord ------ 17.5
12. Malaga --------- 16.4
13. Monchengladbach - 13.8
14. Vaslui ----------- 10.1
15. Nordsjælland ----- 7.1

So, Udinese almost surely won't be seeded. But neither will Malaga and Monchengladbach, and probably Lille too. Still, the big chances are that Udinese will get, if not Tottenham, then one of the eastern or southern european teams like Dinamo Kiev, Fenerbahce, Panathinaikos or Spartak Moscow. Beatable, but also teams that could very well beat Udinese.

that actually looks a lot better than last year - back then they could draw teams like Bayern, Benfica, Arsenal (which they did), Villarreal, etc, iirc.

with a little bit of luck in the draw, they might even squeeze thru

I don't like the fact that Inter will be only playing Serie A next season.
:agree: ... that a pretty big advantage in league, provided they would be scudetto contenders, of course ... especially if Milan and Juve make it to the later, elimination round of the CL

Swedish TV had their team of the season

Buffon

Maggio Barzagli Silva Chiellini
Asamoah Pirlo Vidal
Giovinco
Zlatan Milito

Maggio could have very easily been Lichtsteiner they said

Surprised they picked Buffon. It's probably due to the amount of goals Juve conceded.

But the mistake against Lecce could easily be a deciding factor in not picking him.

about inter - they need a strong summer mercato and luck. the right coach is there.
not that strong, imo - they mostly need a top striker in place of the Zarates, Pazzinis and Forlans they were sporting this year, and a better LB. Maybe a good mid too but not a necessity, imo.

They have a very good roster as is, what they lacked was a coach good-enough-of-a-leader to get the best out of it as their mishaps since Mou have been largely due to bad coaching choices - Rafa, Leo, Gasp, and CR.

whether Stramaccioni is the right man for the job or just a flash in the pan is yet to be seen - the beginning has looked pretty promising for him considering he had to take over with the season in progress and the team having hit rock bottom, more or less.

I think they play in the qualifying round for the EL ... like Palermo this year, iirc

personally, would be surprised if they focus on the EL ... will probably play 2-string teams at first and more if things work out for them

he's young he had success with the kids..inter looked different (see the derby) .. as for the positions i agree..i was sure forlan will flop, mickey mouse league ain't the same with serie a...a lot of la liga +15 goals strikers would flop here..he is old anyways. i wonder what will they do with sneijder
