I'd prefer #2. I'd hate the possibility of facing Milan in the CL qualifiers.
Can you face them?
There will be only 10 teams left in the qualifiers when Arsenal and Milan would start this season and i thought that 5 of these teams will be seeded while the other 5 won't and the seeded teams won't be able to play against eachother. Milan and Arsenal will be seeded teams, of course.

But i don't know if 5 teams will be seeded in that round or everyone can get everyone.

I read somewhere that in the final round of the qualifiers, anyone can get anyone.

Though to be honest, i thought i read that in one of your posts, so i'm not sure anymore

Deco: I'm talking to Inter
Thursday 28 May, 2009
Chelsea playmaker Deco has declared that he has entered into negotiations with Inter.

Nerazzurri boss Jose Mourinho is a known admirer of his compatriot and the two men worked together at Porto.

Deco joined Chelsea from Barcelona for £8m last summer, but he hasn't settled in the Premier League.

I can confirm that I am talking to Inter,” Deco told The Sun. (Were they that shitty newspaper?)

“I didn't get to play much at Chelsea this year and a move to Italy would be a very good solution.

“It would also be very interesting to be coached by Mourinho once again.

“However, I don't want to go into details because I won't be dealing with this matter.”

Mourinho had hinted that he may add a Portuguese international in the summer, but he has also been linked with Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho.

Inter ready Cassano assault
Thursday 28 May, 2009
Sampdoria star Antonio Cassano is back in Inter's sights and the Nerazzurri have reportedly made a concrete approach.

The fiery marksman has rejuvenated his career at Doria after a miserable spell at Real Madrid.

Inter and Juventus have been regularly linked with Cassano and reports suggest that the Beneamata are ready to make a definitive move.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Inter are ready to activate Cassano's release clause, which is set at around £18m. (Shit, Gazzetta are usually reliable about these things)

Sampdoria would only receive £13m of that money, as they must pay Real £5m due to the terms of Cassano's contract.

Doria President Riccardo Garrone has declared his intention to keep hold of Cassano, but his resolve would be severely tested by such a bid.

Giampaolo Pazzini has excelled since his arrival from Fiorentina and the club may build a new attack around him.

Arnautovic 'agrees Inter switch'
Thursday 28 May, 2009
The Italian media are adamant that Twente talent Marko Arnautovic has agreed a move to Inter.

The 20-year-old has been touted as the new Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Inter have sent scouts to watch him.

Arnautovic is currently recovering from a foot injury that will keep him out of action for around two months and is weighing up his future.

The Austrian international has allegedly snubbed the advances of Premier League giants Chelsea because he would rather play for Inter.

The latest Press reports insist that Arnautovic has provisionally agreed a five-year deal with the Italian champions and the Beneamata will pay Twente just over £9m.

Should Ibrahimovic leave Inter this summer, Arnautovic could be his long-term replacement, but the towering hitman is likely to sign whether or not Ibra
stays
.

Chelsea to pounce for Pirlo
Thursday 28 May, 2009
Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo could follow Carlo Ancelotti to Chelsea this summer.

Ancelotti has been widely tipped to leave San Siro for Stamford Bridge after a disappointing campaign.

And it is now being suggested that Azzurri ace Pirlo may also make the journey to England.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the directors at Milan have been contacted by their Chelsea counterparts and have placed a £20m price tag on Pirlo.

The 30-year-old is under contract with the Diavolo until 2012 but he may see this as a good chance for a fresh start.

Pirlo was close to joining Real Madrid back in 2006, but President Silvio Berlusconi intervened to prevent the transfer.

They are a shit tabloid but if they're direct quotes it shouldn't matter.
Aha.
I know it's a direct quote but i thought that they might go as far as inventing quotes.
If not, then Deco will be a very good signing for Inter in short term. They really miss that link between the bullies in midfield and the attackers.
