But I'm assuming that they do pay you. I mean, most players in lower leagues in Europe get paid and I'm sure that if you play in the 4th division you get paid.
No I don't. We were promised though that If we manage to make it to the 3rd division then each one will have a decent contract including monthly payment.

Anyway, I don't care about cash, not that the 200$ or 400$ that they'll pay you monthly will help. Good thing I don't rely on that as I make my living from somewhere else.

I enjoy playing and I'm addicted to it. My goal is to move to a better club within few months. But 2008 has been the worst year for me, I think I told you about my ligament injury on MSN the other day.

You said something about an injury, yeah, but you didn't go into detail. No ACL tear I might hope?

in a 4th division?...a 15 litre pail of wine and 5 plastic cups for the win.
More like a cup of tsuica :lol2:

If you play in Serie D you can live off the money. And if you play in Belgium's fourth division you are likely to get at the very least 800 euros a month.
Probably in the west European countries. Not sure about the East ones, specially the poor countries.

    :agree: ACL indeed.

Had two options, either to make an operation and within 2-3 months I can return. Or be sidelined for 5-6 months doing 20 + session of physiotherapy including a special knee treatment in the Gym.

I picked the 2nd option in Summer.

Seriously? When i lived in saudi arabia ,I played 3rd division and got called up a couple times to 2nd division The contract i was under (probably why they took me in) was I get free gear, travel, food, accommodations and sometimes cash...but no monthly salary or big bonuses... the good thing was since it was a lenient contract i could leave whenever and used it just as a past time

Because it doesn't matter. Even without the youngsters starting, I still believe the team would beat Belgium, which is the point of this whole discussion.
Sure it matters. You're wrong on this one. Belgium isn't as bad as you think they are and the US is not Brazil. Even with the wonderful Brian Ching at lone striker and the magical Sascha Kjlestan in the midfield.

Culture is what makes it possible for Belgium to create a team as strong as the American one.
What makes is possible for the US to create a team as strong as the Belgium one? Magic?

Footballing culture may help with interest on the youth level, but during a game none of that matters.

I don't think I'm wrong. As a team, we have shown we can play.

Belgium have a lot of good young players but that doesn't mean they have a good team.

Oh trust me I think we can beat Belgium if we play our best, but at the same time I could see them beating us. We did get beat by Trinidad. If we are ahead of Belgium in talent it isn't by much.

Even when comparing center backs it's Van Buyten and Kompany v. Onyewu and Bocanegra. Are Bocanegra and The Gooch heads and tails better than the Belgium strikers? I'm very sure Kompany and Van Buyten won't have a problem with Brian Ching and Eddie "I can't score anymore, nope not even in the Championship" Johnson.
