Milan line up Carletto's successor
Friday 20 February, 2009
Leonardo and Roberto Donadoni are the favourites to take over from Carlo Ancelotti at Milan should he leave in the summer.
The pressure is rising on Ancelotti after a 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen in the UEFA Cup left Rossoneri chief Silvio Berlusconi far from happy.
And Ancelotti is also being courted by Chelsea as a possible permanent replacement for Luiz Felipe Scolari once Guus Hiddink's caretaker spell ends.
One way or another, Carletto's time at San Siro could soon be over and the Diavolo will need to find a new man for the hot seat.
There were suggestions that former Barcelona boss Frank Rijkaard would be approached, but he now seems to be out of the frame.
The latest name doing the rounds is that of former Rossoneri player and current director Leonardo.
The Brazilian is currently studying for his coaching badges and could be given his first chance as a Coach on the biggest stage.
However, former Azzurri boss Donadoni, who also played for Milan, is another candidate for the prestigious post.
The ex-Livorno tactician has been unemployed since his contract with Italy ended after Euro 2008.
