Yes, i agree.
Just that Prandelli is also considered to be a coach who knowns how to get the best out of his players, while Montolivo is yet to shine as everyone expects him to. It's hot/cold with him all the time. And Fiorentina is like his second home because he's in Firenze since he was 20. It's there where he grew up as a player, playing under the same coach (who gives him a lot of freedom and who has a lot of trust in him) and with the same teammates.

Lately he's very good actually, he plays as people expected him to, but he had these episodes of playing great in the past also, just so series of bad displays to follow. The problem is that he's very inconsistent and that the bad/average matches outnumber his good matches.
At 23 (24 in 2 weeks) it's allowed though, but his inconsistency doesn't make me so sure that he'll fit perfectly in a team outside Italy.
Oh definitely, Gilardino and Mutu being prime examples. I'm just saying that with the talent Montolivo has, and with Arsene's ability to get the best out of players(not comparing him with Prandelli) and with Montolivo being out of most of the big teams radar, he might prove to be a shrewd signing.

Yup, from what i saw from Fiorentina, he was a central midfielder basically, but moved to the left side of the pitch as the game went on.

Montolivo was very good last season actually. Prandelli changed his role somewhat, and to Montolivo's benefit.
Half of the season, just half.

But yeah, I dont get the hatorade he gets, and like him quite a bit. Even if he hasnt developed so much (not finding his footing with a position yet is part of it, played 3 different positions basically), he is still a stellar player. One I would like to see in Juve just for the heck of it.

Too bad he likes diving, brawling scouser scum :disagree:
