Former Milan Coach Arrigo Sacchi thinks the club’s chaotic transfer policy with Andriy Shevchenko and Ronaldinho “is testing Carlo Ancelotti.”

The Rossoneri had announced they wanted a tall centre-forward, but after chasing Samuel Eto’o and Emmanuel Adebayor instead went for trequartista Ronaldinho.


Following injuries to Alessandro Nesta, Paolo Maldini and Kakha Kaladze, the club also confirmed it was seeking a central defender, but the latest reports have them just hours away from signing Shevchenko on loan from Chelsea.


“Everyone from the squad to the Coach and general manager Adriano Galliani talked about a real giant upfront who could batter down opposition defences, but they got Ronaldinho who is a support figure,” noted a confused Sacchi on Radio Radio.


“Now after trying to bring in a defender, they pick up Shevchenko. What kind of planning strategy is this?”


Sacchi has an inkling that the moves are not so much down to a lack of strategy as a dubious ulterior motive.

Inter teen sensation Mario Balotelli has fanned the flames ahead of Sunday's Italian Super Cup against Roma. “We've already won.”

Rolando Bianchi has joined Torino, announced the player on his official website. “I just landed in Italy on a one-way flight to Turin.”

As we reported earlier today, Bianchi agreed to take a pay cut in order to facilitate the transfer from Manchester City.


It is reportedly for just over half the £8.8m City paid for him a year ago, during which he spent six months at Eastlands and another six on loan at Lazio.


“I just landed in Italy a few minutes ago and this time my flight was one-way with destination Turin,” he wrote on his personal website.


“I am happy and aware I am going into a tough challenge, but a very, very exciting one. My only objective is to take Toro to the top along with my teammates and the splendid fans.”


Unlike the switch to Lazio, this is a permanent move and one that ends Bianchi’s disappointing spell in the Premier League, where he never really settled down.
