The Berlusconi Trophy match ended as a defeat for Juventus, but president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli believes that his side still have all the tools necessary to compete for major honours.

"I saw good things in England, in the TIM Trophy, and against Bratislava," revealed Cobolli. "I think we are finished (in the market). The misfortune (of the national team) in China means the return of three important players to us. It seems to me the team has been reinforced well.

"We now have access to the Champions League. We have a 65 per cent chance of doing well. We can't underestimate the importance of Europe, both from the point of view of our image or economically. To be in Europe or win Europe is not a simple thing (to return to), nor is being ranked among the top three sides in the league."

Cobolli was also delighted that five Juventini were chosen by Marcello Lippi for the national side, namely Alessandro Del Piero, Mauro Camorenesi, Vincenzo Iaquinta, Gianluigi Buffon and Giorgio Chiellini. However, Chiellini has now been replaced by Juve team-mate Nicola Legrottaglie due to an injury sustained during the Trofeo Berlusconi.

That's not the only thing he said though. Its very convenient to read this and ignore the other things he said in the interview.

He's a Milan player now. What else should he say?"Im playing for Milan but i hope Juventus beat us and we play horribly?"

No, but it just shows how much "respect" he has towards Juve. He could have just said that Milan are looking to improve. But no, he had to fuel the fire and mention him and his teammates beating us.

I think Zambrotta should just shut his mouth and try to do the talking a lot less. He's the last person to talk about what happened and what Juventus passed through.
