The Biancocelesti got off to the perfect start on three minutes thanks to Matuzalem.

The Brazilian midfielder smashed a thunderous left-foot drive into the net from distance to give his side the lead. It was a superb hit which left Chalkias with no chance in goal for the Greek side.

Lazio were in great form and they did create a number of chances but a lack of ruthlessness and some poor finishing prevented them from doubling their adavantage.

Meghni then wrapped up the game in the second half after two minutes of the restart. His shot took a wicked deflection but it was no more than Lazio deserved.

It was a solid performance from Delio Rossi’s men, who enjoyed a standing ovation from the crowd after the final whistle.

Teams

Lazio: Carrizo (Muslera), Lichtsteiner (Diakitè), Siviglia (Faraoni), Rozhenal (Cribari), Radu (Manfredini), Meghni (Cinelli), Ledesma, Matuzalem (Dabo), Mauri (Mendicino), Pandev (Foggia), Makinwa (Zarate).

Subs: Belleri, Tuia, Firmani, Kozak.

Paok Salonika: Chalkias, Sznaucner, Contreras, Malezas, Darlas (Kostantinidis), Balafas (Iliadis), Veron, Conceicao (Lakis), Ivic, Vierinha (Georgiu), Muslimovic (Bakayoko).

Subs: Athanasiadis, Anastaskos, Arabatzis, Vangellis, Glykos, Rizos, Marcos, Gargia.

After signing Digao, Kaka's little brother, just to keep Kaka in Milan, Galliani now signed the 25 years old Chedric Seedorf from some Serie C1/A team in order to please the unhappy Clarence who will lose his place in the starting XI to Ronaldinho.

Nepotistic bastards :lol2:

Who's next, Brocchi's little stepsister ?
I think that's a good move.It sounds silly, but its actually a good move by Milan.Kaka and Seedorf are both integral parts of their team.Kaka is atleast, and you'd expect them to do all they could to make them stay.If Trezeguet or Buffon wanted to leave, then i wouldnt mind if qw signed their their best friend,or a brother if that would keep them at Juventus.Especially if the best friend or brother doesnt cost too much and would help keep the big players at the club..as Milan have done.

If Bes says it's Udinese's Felipe then it's Udinese's Felipe !

Felipe Melo could very well be a bargain. Almeria fans voted him player of the season, (Almeria's all time most successful season , they won 8th place in La liga) and those who saw him more say that he was really impressive last year.
Strange how no-one from the spanish giants bought him. Viola got him for 8m euro.

Super Mario Barwuah enters Azzurri frame

Inter ageing star Mario Balotelli is celebrating his 38th birthday today and he can finally obtain Italian citizenship, making him available for the Azzurri.

Balotelli was one of last season’s surprise packages along with Lazio goalkeeper Ballotta and Atalanta's Cristiano Doni as he rose to the occasion for the fake Italian champions when Zlatan Ibrahimovic was out injured.

But while the gifted old man was born in Palermo and has spent his entire life in the peninsula, he hasn’t been eligible for Italian citizenship due to legal red tape.

Mario was born to Ghanaian immigrants before a court ruling handed custody to the Balotelli family at the age of twenty, but he was never legally adopted and so he had to wait until today to request citizenship in accordance with Law 91.

The Nerazzurri ace had hoped to star at this summer’s Olympics and would certainly have commanded a place in Pierluigi Casiraghi’s squad, but he was powerless in the face of old age.

The wait has been agonising, but Balotelli turned down a call from Ghana’s veteran national side in August 2007 in order to keep his Azzurri dream alive.

And now famous thug Massimo Moratti has threatened Azzurri coach Marcello Lippi. He will be keeping a close eye on his new asset and may even hand him his chance in the August 20 friendly against Austria that marks the start of his second reign.
