Seedorf runs less than Riquielme, he is a football genius no doubt but people here prefer players who works so hard and he isn't one.
Taking it too far??

Seedorf helps his team out in defense, something Riquelme has never done in his 13 year old career. Not taking anything away from Riquelme though, he's still an artist.

:D milan r going crazy after signing roni, thats a bit too much i think.......http://youtube.com/watch?v=U5nYstoyfOM
It's show business.
As Galliani said, players like Ronaldinho elevate the interest towards serie A on behalf of the media and help fill the stadiums.

Milan bought Ronaldinho and now they're selling him. Selling him to the fans, selling the TV rights through him etc.

They lost a lot of money and they are in big debts. Galliani confirmed that Milan can wipe out their debts only if they sell Kaka and Pirlo. Now they're trying to do it by selling Ronaldinho's name.
They are perfectly aware that Ronaldinho may easily continue playing the way he was playing in last 18 months and if that happens the interest will drop. That's why they're doing what they're doing now, before Ronaldinho starts playing.

No Fred trust me, I've nearly seen all Milan games of last year and I can assure you when Seedorf plays bad (and he did in numerous occasions) he is completely invisible, I know a lot of Milanista who believe he isn't good enough anymore to start for Milan and who share me this opinion.

Talking about Riquelme, I would pick him ahead of Seedorf with thinking twice.

actually it much more complicated, as ronaldinho have a contract with nike, so any actual money from shirts sales goes to nike, while Milan is sponsered by adidas

Seedorf had an indifferent season, he deserves most of the criticism, but he isnt as lazy as Riquelme, thats just an overstatement

And for the record, i'm not saying he's a better player, i'm saying he isnt as lazy.

Those are his image rights. Milan are trying to earn from Ronaldinho by :

1. Mediaset (owned by Berlusconi) is paying €61.7 million a year only for highlights rights and as broadcasters they pay almost a billion for live coverage of Juve's, Inter's, Roma's home matches etc. Then they're sellling these rights.
With Calciopoli and with EPL+La Liga gaining more interest from the world public Mediaset lost a lot. There wasn't much interest for serie A.
After Milan won the CL last year there was a growing interest, especially in England. Serie A was back on Brittish screens and it resulted with millions of € for Berlusconi.
Now the question is how to keep the attention of the world public and even make it grow ? Of course, by winning in Europe and buying world star players.
Everyone would like to watch Ronaldinho and everyone will buy the TV rights from Mediaset.

2. Winning more sponsors.

3. Selling more tickets.

What a wasted talent Reyes is, if he had a right head he would've been one of the top wingers in Europe right now.
some 'fox in the box' he turned out to be. what has happened to the player I remember raping men united in the FA cup in his debut season?
