I am not saying we shouldn't play any friendlies at all, but we should play the least friendlies, since we will have two more important matches than the rest. 2 or 3 friendly matches + 2 CL qualification matches is more than enough.

But we need to be at peak condition for the CL qualifiers, not view them as glorified friendlies.

I don't know what our schedule is, but I would think that about 5 or 6 proper games would be necessary.

Remember that the whole squad needs to get plenty of playing time.

emirates cup for me is a good idea. Top class oppenents in a concentrated space of time will help our fitness greatly and gel our squad and give Ranieri a chance to experiment against good teams whilst it doesn't matter.
