Replacing Giovinco in 55th minute proved to be a huge mistake. Empoli were all over Milan until that sub and after that they didn't create anything and played for a draw.

No, i changed my mind.
It was a great decission. Replacing your main creative player 35 minutes before the end, when you're owning Milan, was a good choice. And replacing him with a defensive midfielder in order to keep the draw and let your opponents (who were clueless until 55th minute) have the posession.... that was a great decission.
And of course, getting a red card 10 seconds after your team scored the equaliser was another great move by mr.Malesani.

He's right though . We've seen this happen to almost every small team in serie A . When small teams dominate big teams they feel as if there is something wrong so they give away possession and defend wuth 10 men . I guess some coaches think it's ingenuity .
