"It's true" - Inter in Dinho talks!
Sunday 20 January, 2008
Milan transfer guru Adriano Galliani confirms he knows Inter “are in negotiations with Ronaldinho,” but it doesn’t bother the Rossoneri.
The Barcelona star had been the prime target for President Silvio Berlusconi over the past two years, but in recent weeks they have dropped their interest entirely.
Yesterday Inter boss Roberto Mancini told the media they were looking to sign Ronaldinho and would have no problem in settling him in.
“I know that there have been meetings and they are talking,” confessed Rossoneri Vice-President Galliani when asked about the rumours.
“I don’t need to look to reports, I got the information straight from the source. In any case, we are happy the way we are.”
This confirmation suggests negotiations for Ronaldinho are at an advanced stage, as he is unsettled at Barca and is looking for a move away.
Up until now the only real options were considered to be Milan and Chelsea, but now that the Rossoneri have pulled out, Inter are stepping into the race.
President Massimo Moratti has hinted he will make a spectacular signing for the club’s centenary year and Ronaldinho fits the bill.
“I did tell you before, but everyone thought I was joking,” smiled Mancio in the Press Conference.
