Deserved win for Lazio.
Predictably crap first half, with Lazio still pretty well in control.
More open second half - which in theory should have suited Roma more - and Lazio still looked like the better team.
Lazio's midfield three always had a lot of control over the game, since they had a numerical advantage.
That allowed Lazio to keep getting the ball out to their wingers, who Roma never looked comfortable against.
Lazio's control over midfield also meant that Roma never really got good possession high up the pitch to get the ball to their dangerous players (how many times did Lamela touch the ball?) enough to give them a decent chance to hurt Lazio.
Andreazzoli, while he has made Roma more organised in defence, hasn't shown anything to suggest he is capable of coming up with a plan of attack to exploit Roma's strengths and an opponents weaknesses. What was his plan for how Roma would score today? Just hope for a counter-attack or a fuck-up from Lazio?
Anyway, looking at what the two sides have done over the course of the season, Lazio deserved to win something far more than Roma did.
