People have such a simplistic view of geopolitics.

Israel isn't a rogue state like everyone here conveniently believe, its just doing the dirty work for the anti-shia axis coalition. No other country want to take the heat for what must be done. Its all virtue signalling.

This is not a war on Lebanon or Lebanese people lol, we have nothing against them. its a war on international terror organisation that hijacked a whole country and destroyed it from within, butchered tens of thousands Syrians for an evil dictator and then attacked another sovereign country right after Oct 7th. That fact that attacking such an evil entity is even in need to be defended show the absurdity of modern sensitivity and morality. Israel is not doing it for altruistic reasons, sure, but its far from uncalled for.

All of this is backed by the Saudis, the Emirates, Jordan, the US, France, Egypt and Lebanon itself to an extent. Its in everyone interest to kick the Shia axis out of the region and destroy Hizzbulla.

Why is it more likely that a tiny country like Israel is manipulating world super powers to act against thier own interests then the simple alternative that its actions are inline with thiers?
I hate Hezbollah as much as anybody, but what’s the red line in taking out their leaders in terms of civilian casualties?

I cant give an answer I will be completely comfortable with.

On one hand there must be a red line, on the other hand can they be afforded a complete immunity just for hiding within civilian population? I cant find an easy answer.

I said this in reference to Nasrallah assassination, and 85 bunker booster bombs in a densely populated neighborhood. I feel that should be a red line.
And you probably can guess that I’m very happy that he’s gone.

It was in process over a week ago (and long before) - that was the point of the pagers/electronic supply chain attack and follow on bombings

lol here we go
It was such a crippling and well-planned attack that I honestly thought that was the end of it for a while.

Imo, Israel are making it worse for themselves long-term by killing Nasrallah and now a ground invasion. It's just going to create a power vacuum and a vengeful population.

They have already worked on the story, hundreds rockets will be sent, cattle ranches and stables will be targeted in nearby and rural regions and then the show will be concluded with a statement.

They should've just fucking left it at this. So fucking pointless, so fucking stupid. Now there's a potential for a global conflict and for what?

I'm seeing reports of a mass shooting event in Tel Aviv as well.

Netanyahu’s whole plan was to drag US into the war before the election, and he’s not going to miss this golden opportunity. I expect a very aggressive response possibly against nuclear targets.

Israel actions in Lebanon are 100% justified imo, this was brewing for a decade now and came to a boil in the last year.

Im more then willing to debate Israeli justification or "behaviour" in the conflict in gaza but Lebanon issue is entirely different beast. No country would tolerate the situation in northern Israel.

Israel actions in lebanon are part of an alliance against the Iranian-russian-chinese axis, and are inevitable imo. You are entitled to pick whichever side you want or not pick any, but this need to be resolved either way.
This is a different argument, but it misses the point.

The issue was never that Israel defended itself. It's the extreme callousness towards the suffering of civilians in Lebanon, Gaza and the West Bank.

It's the sort of callousness that really one only displays if he considers the other worthless. And that's precisely what this entire thing is about: Israel thinks of its neighbours as Untermenschen.
