Human Rights Watch says Israel used white phosphorus in Gaza, Lebanon

https://www.reuters.com/world/middl...ed-white-phosphorous-gaza-lebanon-2023-10-12/

As I remember, this was the "red line" in Syria.
White phosphorous is used by the US military as smoke screen frequently. It’s only banned for use against civilians. Israel used it a decade or so ago in the above method. Nothing mentioned there about how it was used, of course it only matters if HRW is reporting the truth, something they’ve had trouble with at times in the past.

Edit. Nevermind, I saw the section where the link said: “apparently as smokescreens, marking, or signalling.” And the two videos were from Lebanon-Israel border. Nothing from Gaza.

So this is a big fat nothing burger from HRW :lol2:

These psychopaths having “pro-Palestine” rallies around the world at this specific time, with attendees chanting things like “gas the Jews” and celebrating what Hamas just did…

https://www.timesofisrael.com/sydne...lestine-protest-that-had-gas-the-jews-chants/

This sorta shit happened in Vancouver and other cities in Canada as well.

Can someone remind me of a time where Jews were holding rallies around the world to celebrate 1000+ Palestinian civilians (including babies, children, women) being massacred?

Israel has done a lot of shitty things over the years, but these idiots are making it pretty damn hard for anyone to even think about holding them accountable or prevent what’s about to happen in Gaza.

Partly. The grander plan is the dissolution of the world order and other economic and military superpowers.

Putin is kind of a true commie that way: rather than improve the lives of Russians, he’d rather lower the bar for everyone else.
So kinda like islamists?
Instead of improving their lives they would rather destroy everyone's else's .

Isn't human rights watch some random people in an apartment in London reporting on stuff miles away from them?
It's remarkable how easy people fall this weak a** propaganda .

It’s really, really hard to have any sympathy for those people. I’m a bit worried about the potential backlash and polarisation in our countries. And I’m sure that we’ll face a new refugee crisis here in Europe (which we are having already). Horrible situation overal

Another reason I find it difficult to find sympathy for them. Not easy to be more cautious to civilian casualties when those you are fighting wants to see you eradicated from the face of the earth. Of course it makes a people paranoid like it has done to the Israelies.

And you're absolutely right you won't see Jews going around celebrating the killings on civilians and shouting for the Arabs to be eradicated, they might do other shady things. But not something as disgusting as that.

And no, I'm not justifying the Israeli war crimes.

They shouldn't live in any Western society when they are that radicalized. In stead they can get a one way ticket back to an Arab country.

They clearly never integrated well.

I think the scary party is that their opinion is based on Palestinians being Muslims like them. If the situation was the other way around with Jews sitting in Gaza we wouldn’t hear them. That’s why I can appreciate people understanding the complexity of the war and have a more moderate opinion like almost everyone here. It’s that we/they thinking.

I don't know about where you live, but I have never seen it here. On the other hands you'll see plenty of muslims/palestinians not behaving as the best kind of people in their new country. This doesn't really help them in their cause.

Guess we are all biased from our own experiences irl. Here in Europe we have too many from the MENA countries who has never been willing to fit into their new countries, instead they'll gladly commit lots of crime and sometimes gang related murder, unemployment and live in what we call "parallelsamfund".

Some have stayed in a country for 30 years or more, but barely speak a single word of the language. And this has nothing to do with racism or Islamophobia, I would have said the exact same if this was the case for Asians, Latinos etc and not integrating into their new society.

If you have no desire or zero skill set to integrate then you have absolutely no business being here. And this is exactly why many European people sympathies with the Israelies as we've seen first hand how many Arabs/muslims are behaving here. We see Israel as the only "normal" country in that part of the world.

Should that be the case? Probably not, but we are all biased in some way or another.

In his defense if you have your head deep in your ass you won’t see anything.
Fair enough, of course they shouldn't do that. That's as disgusting as those who are screaming to kill the jews.

But my point still stands, you see nothing like that here. It probably has to do with the Jewish population being so small compared to the muslim one.

How exactly so?

Never mind I didn't realise you were talking about Arabs/Muslims being in Europe.

I can't speak for how the Jews behave in other parts of the World, here you rarely hear or see them. I imagine in the US you might have a reason to dislike many of them (much larger population are Jewish compared to here) like it's easy to dislike many Muslims who came here with zero desire to integrate.

I live in New York City, where there are more Jews of all sects all across the political spectrum than there are all people on Copenhagen.

You live closer to those regions, so you get the low level members of their society by default. We have a few of those too, they try to emulate rappers and do dumb shit. Literally a part of every culture.

I don't know what you want me to say though, to try to compare with Jews by saying things like Hasidics have lived here for generations and can't even read or write, let alone speak English? Or how Orthodox sects will essentially colonize entire neighborhoods by pushing people and their businesses out in favor of their own? I've watched with my own eyes how the administration of my college, located in a Jewish neighborhood, catered to everything they wanted while simultaneously trying to stop every little event that the SJP group was doing. They can't invite any speakers, meanwhile it's perfectly fine for Pamela Geller to come speak. Funny how that works, isn't it?

I'm not going to do that though, because that's stupid. I'm friends with Jews and I'm friends with Muslim, hell even some religious. "Secular Jews" are really cool people, but the religious ones are just as fanatical or more than religious Muslims.

Exactly. Fuck these people. They care more about Israel than they do this country, and yet here they are.

This is exactly why we have different perspectives to all this, because of experiences through life as I mentioned in my previous posts.

I do have a few muslim friends myself and doesn't have any problem with someone having a different faith as long as they are willing to integrate and do their best not to be a nuisance to their new country. Sadly there's too many here who don't have the willingness or skill set to do so. I never expect someone to talk a new language fluently or throw their culture away completely, nothing like that. Just to do their best and not acting like entitled brats.

Seeing how those in the video (those who call for Palestine to be eradicated) are acting I can understand why some might find dislike for them, but again you see none of it here. Hence I can't fully relate to it, just as other parts of the world face no Islamic troubles and there for might think a European should take it more easy.

If we had a large Jewish population here in Denmark that acted like those in the video then I would most certainly dislike them as much.

I guess much of it has to do with WW2 and most "true" Jews were killed or dispelled/went to other parts of the World and Israel. Hence the former large Jewish presence in Europe is almost gone.
