He killed all the good guys in Palestinian resistance movements, especially in Fateh. He kept alive only the idiots who would not compete with him over the leadership of Palestinian people. That led us to having Abbas, Abd Rabbu, Erikat, Dahlan, and Al-Rjoub on the top of the hierarchy after his death. Their only advantage to stay alive was that they are so stupid.
Moreover, his gang was behind the wars with Jordanians and Lebanese people during decades.
You really think he "got rid" of them?
Look Abed, Im not claiming he's the hero many at Fateh still praise him to be. He simply is a figure for the Palestinian people who gave his all to the cause (or at least tried) he had his own vision that many, including myself here, don't agree with but again, by no means I question his loyalty.
As for the names you mentioned there, we both know how him and Abu Abbas had their fights in the last 3-4 years Arrafat was in power. He never wanted him and he tried his best to get rid of him, if it wasn't for the American and Israeli pressure he wouldn't have gone all the way to become a president IMO. As for the rest you're right, and you of all people you know my opinion about Fateh and their so called political branch. They're all bunch of rotten heads and yeah again, I agree Arafat had much to do with that but I stress on the fact that he shouldn't be called a traitor.
Oh and wars here and in Lebanon were started and backed by almost all the Palestinian militants regardless of their groups. Fateh and Arafat were probably the most understanding ones when it came to the Jordanian regime while yeah, he thought of himself as a Lebanese president.
JBF, where are you exactly from Palestine? Are you born there or your origins are from Palestine? Which part of it?
What about you Rebel?
And tell me, are there some divisions between the Palestine people? Do you all feel like one and if you do, is it a consequence of what is happening or it's been like that even before 1947?
For example, in the USA you will easily notice how someone from the east coast underrates someone from Wyoming or in Croatia you can notice differences in the language of those from the coast and those from the north of the country. Are there such things among you?
Im from Nablus. And no there's no devision in the meaning that there's a two groups of Palestinians where one thinks they're better than the others or more Arab. It's just political differences that you might be talking about, the ones that make a government in Gaza and one in the West bank. As that's due to some differences between the ruling Hamas in Gaza and Fateh in West Bank, as Fateh believes resistant is no longer a profitable way to get the Palestinian rights and believe negotiations and American pressure on the israelis would give us at least the west bank while Hamas believes we won't get shit by negotiating and many other groups agree with that approach.
You gotta know though that there's about a millions Palestinians in the 1948 lands in Palestine(outside West bank and Gaza to what is now called "israel") and who hold israeli citizenship but are hanging to their Palestinian and Arab identities just like those in the Arab world and maybe even more.
None of the Palestinian parties both inside the 1948 lands or outside it are calling or have ever called for a separated regime or country, they're all calling for one Palestinian country again while others are calling for that and an Israeli one living together on the same soil.
