EU calls seeks enquiry into Israeli military action

BRUSSELS, May 31 (Reuters) - The European Union called for an enquiry into deaths aboard Gaza aid ships seized by Israel's navy on Monday and urged Israel to allow the free flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
"High Representative Catherine Ashton expresses her deep regret at the news of loss of life and violence and extends her sympathies to families of the dead and wounded," said a spokesperson for Ashton, the EU's foreign policy chief.
"On behalf of the European Union she demands a full enquiry about the circumstances in which this happened ... She calls for an immediate, sustained and unconditional opening of the crossing for the flow of humanitarian aid, commercial goods and persons to and from Gaza."

Inquiry by whom??

European Union can kiss my ass with passion.
And so can the UN, right?

Ever thought that maybe, just maybe, that's not how diplomacy works? Why do you think Israel gets away with just about everything? Because they make sure they have strong connections to the countries that really matter in international politics. For example they have a certain degree of power over the US. They're very very good at this.

And you come out and say this. This is not what you want to do.

He lived as a great guy and died as a great guy...

    Raed Salah is dead officially.

The only respected Palestinian leader by all the parties is dead.

    This is so harsh.

So, do you think their reaction deserves respect?

Of course not. In fact, if you read between the lines you can see that I condemn their actions ("getting away" with something is not good, ReBeL). But they're obviously excellent diplomats as they can do pretty much anything they want.

You could learn from them in that aspect.

it is not about diplomacy, mate.

It is just about controlling the head of the American president by their lobby. Other countries are nothing but dummies.

Exactly. So they control the American president.

Where are you? Who are you? Nobody. That's what they think about you when it comes to international politics. The Israelis get away with murder, you get life for stealing bread. So you can either try to change that situation or you can sit there and say "fuck the EU". Because that's the last thing the Israelis did, you know. They're not saying "fuck the EU", they're asking themselves what they should do to hold power over the EU.

You are talking logically and I agree with what you are saying, but the situation is much complicated to the degree that what you are talking about is impossible.

Actually its understandable in a point of view, only wars teach Israel their limits..

I'm not looking for a war at all, but I believe they crossed every line this time and there shouldn't be any explainations in the first place, thats unhuman and they should be punished
