thank you all. I didn't leave at all, but I had some work to do in order to keep my salary going on
Anyway, I saw that the thread was so active with many varied discussions. Nice job.
About the updates, two days ago, Israelis said they will cease fire, and Palestinian resistance reacted by saying they will not launch rockets into Israel for a week but they told Israel to leave Gaza Strip and left the siege during this week. Otherwise, they will resume launching rockets.
Arab leaders gathered in Kuwait and donated around 2 billion dollars to Gaza as a way to hide their role in the massacre. The funny thing is that there is no way to deliver those money to the civilians who were hurt by this attack as Arab leaders don't want to give them to Hamas, the ruling party there.
On the ground, people in Gaza are still looking for more bodies under the rubble. Around 4000 houses were said to be destroyed during the attack. Hamas gave 5000 dollars to each house owner of those destroyed.
On the ground too, today two children were killed when they found some weird thing in front of their house while playing. It exploded converting their bodies into small parts.
Levni today said that Israel won't left the siege unless Hamas release the captured soldier since two years, Gilad Shalit. That is a very weird thing knowing that Israel has 11000 Palestinian prisoners. Hamas replied that it doesn't know if he is alive or not after the bombings.
The death toll is 1315 and the injured are more than 5300. Resistance movements said they lost around 90 resistants during the 22 day attack. You can calculate how many civilians were lost. Tens of bodies are still believed to be under rubble.
So, briefly, it is a cautious calmness there in Gaza now waiting for the week truce to end.

I'm a realist, Enron. With the current state of affairs, along with taking a look at history, this stuff will not stop until one group is obliterated, or if the United States halts the support of Israel. The only way I see that happening is if the economy becomes so bad that we simply have to stop supporting Israel.

You are far from a realist. You're a pessimist. A realist sees all the angles and builds an opinion based around those observations. You seem to look for the most negative in life and root your beliefs around those opinions.
Neither of your solutions end with the lowest amount of lives loss. If the US continues to fund Israel then more Palestinians die. If the US pull funding from Israel then the field becomes more even, though not quite and still more people die.
The best and only solution, the most real if you will is to form a separate state for Palestinians. Such an idea may not be possible at the moment, but due to the press Israel is getting at the moment the criticisms they will receive in the future, such a possibility could very well become a reality.

They also said that is the same reason why none of the Arab countries want to take the Palestinians in

They help out the Palestinians, then they invite Israeli thuggery and American big brother bullying -- economic as well as militarily. And given the fragile nature of governments in power in many Arab nations, the economic destabilization could have them toppled over. Especially if the CIA starts sending subversive forces over to do just that.
If they don't help the Palestinians, then they're seen as pawns of the U.S. government and they seem like they're kow-towing to Israel. Which, given their fragile nature, could destabilize their positions of power by a bunch of outraged citizenry that overthrows them and throws the bums out.
The way things are, many Arab governments are most incented to make a lot of noise but really do nothing.

What, does he need them to tell him that? Its obvious as fuck they are nothing but corrupt puppets.
I mean, Mubarak for example, the reason he is saying fuck all against this massacre, besides the main crucial point of Hamas being a big threat to him (because Hamas is like a sister branch from the BIG Islamic Brotherhood in Egypt, his prime enemies), is all because that the last thing this puppet dictator needs is to diminish the good will of the US he has, because right now he badly needs their support to slowly make his son his heir to the "throne" that is called presidency, but is essentially a dictator role.
Its the same with alot of them, hurting even an ounce of their relations with the US endangers their corrupted power, the sphere of influence of ze US is the last thing one should underestimate.
