Advocating for regime change aside, how can this guy mention Syria as a successful example? Assad was overthrown after a bloody civil war and is replaced with a ex-Jihadi.

europeans in general rarely have a full understanding of either the middle east or any african dynamics unfortunately. i'm guilty too. for example i'm in touch with nigerian guys on a daily basis, they explained their tribes, regions and basic political dynamics like a dozen times already, and all i can recall is corruption, corruption, corruption lol

i think that success in this context is the openness to deal with the west. assad's regime was heavily influenced by russians, and their oil industry remained unreachable for the eu for too long. we have also dealt with syrian immigration far too long, and if it at least partially comes to an end, then it benefits both syria and europe. lesser of two evils, that's probably what merz means here

anyway, this is as funny as it gets. it's like inda and their scudetto pre calciopoli:

Saddam was removed and Iraq 'liberated' by the US, yet they let Assad use chemical weapons in Syria. Never trust USA or their Israeli masters, they are liars. The world is with Iran, even those who don't see eye to eye with them, the common evil has to be resisted. Just like Syria, the Iranian people will decide their country's future.

This German should shut up as well. Immigrants flooded Germany after the US bombed the Middle East, if their beautiful rich countries weren't destroyed nobody is going there to be degraded by this used Nazi condom of a human.

Free Iran of this terror regime. I hope the head of the snake can be cut off without entering a full war. Maybe a swift full force operation is needed. And if so I support it
