Actually, it's about cup competitions in general.

Sure, the FA Cup is probably the favorite national cup competition, but that's not saying much at all.

Compare it to the rest of the national cup competitions and it does say a great deal. If you want to say that national cup competitions in general are weak, then that is probably an accurate statement. But to say that the FA Cup and Copa Del Rey aren't hands above other national cups in prestige, importance, and generally competition (this year is an exception in the FA) is no accurate.


But hey too bad you can't be honest and say the reason you don't like the FA Cup is because it always features two English teams.

The best cup competition in the world doesn't feature the likes of Cardiff City. It just doesn't. I don't really care what little English boys dream about, but the FA Cup is overrated, just like everything English.

Thats what makes the competition special. The way that smaller clubs can rise up and beat bigger ones is great. When these players were growing up, and wanted to be footballers, they all dreamed of walking out the tunnel into Wembley as an FA Cup finalist. These clubs also reduce the domination of the bigger ones and make the competition way more interesting because they haven't met in a while. Best FA Cup final in years this.

Usually it isn't a Cardiff City, but I would have to agree that the single leg Cup competition (unless a tie) allows for upsets and a greater chance of success. Andy just can't stand England and for that reason his opinion of the FA CUp really doesn't matter in this case. If it was Man U and Chelsea every season, he'd be bitching about the lack of competition, too many long balls, or Michael Ballack's war crimes etc.

I'm watching Fox Football Phone-In on FSC, and the question of the day is whether or not you think the FA Cup is the "most Prestigious" cup competition in the world. Thus far nine people have said yes, while three people said no. The show is put on by two Englishmen, one of which is Nick Webster who is a fucking dolt and proclaims English Football is undoubtedly the best.

English r soo :faq2: in arrogant its just , not just in football but rather in all sports. Last year in formula 1 they've praised hamilton sooo much that alonso got pissed and left his team this year for that reason. He rather race with Renault cars and lose than staying with McLaren (i don't blame him).....The funny thing is they suck in every sport there is in the world, even in cricket they've lost last world cup ........
