two words

Champions League

FA Cup is still more prestigious than Coppa Italia and Copa Del Rey. At least the teams care more about it.
i think it is probably the most prestigious domestic club competition but that is simply because the other big leagues treat their cup competitions with the same contempt that english clubs show the league cup. great for wee clubs to win but not anything the big clubs wish to win.......................

unless they win fuck-all else

If you got rid of the Premiership clubs from the FA Cup, then you would have all the teams who really could give a fuck about it. The English loved this competition, before Sky came in with the money for TV rights and all. FA Cup weekend was basically a holiday, every team wanted to win it. It is also the oldest football competition in history, so obviously there is something to want in it.

Not the best cup competition around though.

To be honest, carling (league cup) seems more prestigious when looking some games:

5th round:
Blackburn Rovers 2-3 Arsenal (aet)
Chelsea 2-0 Liverpool
Man City 0-2 Tottenham
West Ham 1-2 Everton

Semis:
Chelsea - Everton (everton played with starting XI, chelsea had some injured players, but you know their backups arent bad either)
Arsenal - Tottenham (Tottenham pretty much starting XI, only backup gk, and arsenal with youngsters, def not a bad match)

fa cup is overrated, the final is usually worth watching though, if it is a tight match like manu-arsenal. (not if its liverpool-west ham, sorry enron ;) )

I beg to differ - Liverpool-West Ham was one of the most entertaining finals, ever!

You could mention Man United 3-0 Millwall in 2004. But then again, last year Chelsea 1-0 Man United was the biggest borefest ever- for the neutral at least.

Mutu scores more goals..But Rooney is the better player imo...if you look past his erratic finishing he has been Man Utd's second best attacking player this season
