And would we have done with him? Loan him to Timbuktu...
We don't deserve talents like him, we can't deal with them.
    Absolutely, lovely. You know it.

That's the major problem with the club. As a youngster, I wouldn't want to go there, perhaps even as a fan.

From our fans, he is largely underrated, but what it matters the most is that he is overrated by Napoli, overvalued actually, he is still not worthy of 15-25 mil + Giovinco...

If we are planning to make a move for him, i think it would be better for us to be underrated.
So that we would buy him cheaper and make him famous and respected!

In case we opt for a permanent switch to 4-2-3-1, we will need such a classy AMF more than Cassano!

we should stop this shit... this is going to put us nowhere.... he is def a good player and scored a brace against us but his goals were quit easy....
there are tons of good players or better than what we have...

He's a good player, but it's not as if he scores two every game. Then again he doesn't have two gaping nets to shoot at every game, but that is another story. Anyone who signs for Juventus is either make or break, the proof of whether anyone would be a good signing is only when they actually have a season behind them.

if there is one mistake which could never be forgiven it's buying Almiron for 9 million € instead of Hamsik for 5m.
    Ouch.

I've always wanted him on this club for the past two years. That said, while he scored two easy goals, IMO, it was Datolo that changed the match and carved us up tonight.

Well, had we bought him back in the day we would have sent him on loan.
    Absolutely, lovely. You know it.

That's the major problem with the club. As a youngster, I wouldn't want to go there, perhaps even as a fan.
we would've bought him, never given him a proper run, loaned him to Piacenza, he would do well there, we would recall him but never play him and still keep loaning around Italy until eventually he's bought by Napoli...so nothing changed :p

Just wondering, not sure yet, hasn't sunk in. Perhaps we shouldn't have bought him in B...
You all know that i'm his biggest fan here, but even though you always agreed with me on this, I don't know what are you trying to achieve with this thread. :)

I was involved in every discussion about Hamsik and I really don't remember people calling him overrated (except for Fred, who was kinda fooled with Napoli's awful form last year and now Ahmed, who's, I think, saying this in anger).

The disagreement about Hamsik wasn't about him not being good, but it was due to this:

The guy knows were too be. Right place, right time.
Some folks "blame him" for not being more involved in the game and for being invisible throughout the matches.
Now, as someone who follows Hamsik a lot, I agree to certain degree (he does disappear on some matches) but I completely disagree with those who think that he's always like that and he's only about being in the right place at the right time.
Many times, on many matches, he's the engine in Napoli and their playmaker who takes the ball when nothing else works.
I don't have another way how to prove it but by using statistics.

These are the stats about successful attacking passes this year in serie A:
    1. Pirlo 426
    2. Gargano 328
    3. D'Agostino 314
    4. Montolivo 307
    5. Seedorf 302
    6. Melo 292
    7. Milanetto 288
    8. Hamsik 276
    9. Morrone 274
    10. Candreva 267
    11. Guarente 258
    12. De Rossi 251
    13. Diego 249
    etc

Seriously, can a "ghost" be among the top 8 passers in the league? He's got to be involved in the game a lot, and a lot has to go through him if he wants to be in top 8 passers, right?

Anyway, here's a prediction from me.
Injuries aside, I think he'll score at least 15 goals in serie A this year.
Do you know how much 15 goals in serie A are for someone who isn't a striker? Of how many non-strikers in serie A you can think of from the last 20 years who were scoring 15 goals or more in the league per season?
    Baggio? Kaka? Totti?

Fucking Baggio, Kaka and Totti. Legends of the game.
And Hamsik is just 22 years old.

What more can you guys expect from him?

Well, first he needs to score those 15 goals :D
So far he has 7. None of them were penalty kicks. And he's their penalty kick taker. With this tempo he'll go way over 15, but i'm predicting 15. I won't be pushing it. :p
