hide you have to admit though that milan arent a balanced team-not nearly as much as juve.

and real are even worse but their squad is such that they manage victories without need for balance.

I actually think, they have more balanced team than us, but that is just an opinion.;). Also, I rate Sheva, Rui, Nesta, Maldini and Gatusso just as higly as Ronaldo, Figo, Zizou, Carlos and Beckam. Of course, Zizou and Raul is definetely better than all,:), but I can't argue that is the case for other Real players. I actually think Milan's overall talent is far better. Their depth just makes me sick. They have two top-class goalkeepers, and the fact that they boast the bench which include, Rivaldo, Redondo, Roque Jnr., Laursen, Simic, Serginho, Ambrosini, Tomasson, Brocchi is just mad.:dazed:.

I do see weakness in ther team. They don't have real wingers, also they system makes them play too narrow. When you have Brocchi starting against Inter in CL-Semi, then something must be wrong.:D. However, if Rivaldo, Rendondo, Serginho, Ambrosini, all of whom have been troubled by injury can regain their shape and perform half of their ability, then that bench is probably good enough to be mid-table team in Serie A.. Real is top class team, but I don't think they are anywhere near some media type them upto be. Milan in early 90s were far better team, and beside, Real's top star is aging. Of course, us or Milan are hardly young, but while we have good young players to replace the stars, the core of Milan's side, (Nesta, Gatusso, Sheva) has many years to go. Thereby, even if Real made Beckam signing, I still think Milan has to be considered as a favorite for next year's CL. But I think margin isn't too big, and after all, as you have mentioned, Real's core is just plain sick and capable of doing anything. I think it will be a case where a team which peaks at the right time (a la us against Real, and Milan against us) will win it. But I think us, Real, Milan, are on about same level, and I would be interested to see what Man U does with their cash. Bayern could be dangerous.;):D.

Anyway, it is interesting what Inzaghi said about Beckam. Inzaghi himself is one of the most one-dimensional player in the world.:p

hide i see what you say about milan but I think that none of their players are really allowed to express their full potential since they overlap each other so much if u know what i mean. I consider their bench a complete waste of talent, even more so than Real's.

I would say that comparing Real's and Milan's top brass in terms of ability is justifiable but in terms of achievement certainly not. It still remains to be seen whether Milan are capable of reaching/beating the standard set by Real, Man U and co. that have been dominating in the last part of the 90s. I dont believe that this CL trophy quite cuts it but I think we will have to wait and see whether they can maintain the standard for a number of years and exert dominance.

Milan's team is built with individual stars and when a number of these players are made to play together they lose the effectiveness they have as singular players. This certainly takes place within the Real squad but they can afford it looking at their bank accounts and their track record in their League and Europe.

Juve are built less on stars blessed with potential like that of Milan or Real and thats why I feel there is no waste of talent in the squad.

In fact I think someone like Rivaldo would do superb in a mid-table club much like Perugia or Udinese.

I agree, though I am not sure it applies to Man U because of their ineffectiveness in Europe, I do feel, Milan has to perform sustain period of time to prove thier greatness. Also, I also agree that a lot of talent in Milan is overlapping, which actually draws us to the question of playing narrow, this is because they have all the best players playing in CM.:). Pirlo and Rui is too similar clone, while Ambrosini, Gatusso offers similar attributes. And beside the final, Sheva and Inzaghi didn't impressed me as a pair. I felt they lacked a player who can hold the ball. Furthermore, if the balance was based on chemistry then, yes, I can't agree more that Juve is definetely one of the best out their. (Beside, horrendous passing in the midfield, ;)). But I do think, Milan has the best balance between attack and defence, and they quality is undoubted. They have to prove, as you have mentioned, but I think potential is there. I just hope that their have one of those miserable runs they had in last couple of years. And in the final.;). But I am not still convinced about Real's ability dominate world stage next year. They will always be competetive but I just have the sense, that they are starting to fade. I haven't seen Millito play, and he could be very good, but I just think they total lack of respect to defence will hurt them badly. Valdano talked about Brazil 70s, but this is modern football, where balance is critical:)

I think Real are turning into a complete joke IMHO. Beckham was the last straw.

I think that Juve's weak points have been in
    1. Attack
    2. Midfield

    :D

I dont know whether to blame this on the fact that we keep switching Camo, Zambro and Nedved around, our injuries, or Lippi's tactics but we seem to be changing all the time. Our players seem to get injured way too much and this causes a mish-mash in our midfield.

Our midfield was a disaster-zone- incredibly fragile and zilch where constructive passes and ball possession are concerned.

Our attack was shit on a stick imho. I dont know what to say about it. Trez underperformed, DV underperformed, Ale(often) underperformed. Salas was home watching TV and eating injury-in-a-can.

The only attacker I thought did phenomenally well despite being barely talented as he is is the Great Marcelo Danubio Zalayeta.

    Forza ZALAYETA!

I'm 100% sure that had Beckham joined Milan instead of Real then he would be hailed by Inzaghi as the best player in the world and that he would be strong enough to overcome Serie A's difficulties :D

Milan striker Filippo Inzaghi has denied telling the News Of The World that David Beckham would be useless in the Rossoneri side.

"Yes, today I have read that I have spoken about Backham, talking bad about him," he told Milan's official site. "That's not true at all, I never spoke with english press, and also I don't know who are the journalist that have signed those articles. All of this really bother me, because I never spoke about colleagues, it's not me, I also don't even know him. And most of all I do not speak bad about him. I'm sorry this has been brought to Italy, and I must say that is absolutely not true."

Indeed. I remember seeing an interview with a Japanese girl, who said "I'm sad Beckham has moved away from Manchester United. But where Beckham goes, I go, so I'm going to buy myself a Real shirt".

Also, a Korean girl I know (before his move): My friends and I were talking about soccer, and the clubs we support, then she says "Oh, I like that team Beckham plays for...what was it called again?" :fero::dontcare::dazed::groan::frown:

Beckahm was out running when he saw a motorcycle following him. He thought it was a pressphotograph so he kicked him and he fell of his bike. But the funny part is that it was not a journalist it was just a regular guy.
