I just don't get it. It takes away from your own game. I think Portugal are probably the better side, but there's no fluency in their game at all.

With less rest I think Santos stuck to his safe place: low-scoring matches. Particularly when having to play third-stringers in Paulinha and Dalot due to France injuries and Covid. So we got an insanely boring match for the first half. I bet goalies got the most touches.

Don't understand why Portugal are so cynical. You played like butchers.

it doesn't seem to suit the players they have at all.

It seems like most of the "big" sides at this euros are under performing to what you would expect from the squad they have. Only big nation bucking that trend seems to be italy.

Imo it's ridiculous. They have a very talented side and they resort to this? It makes no sense. And you're right, it doesn't suit them at all. Bruno Fernandes and Joao Felix suffer because of it.

Belgium really wastefull in the final third while Portugal did too little too late. A draw wouldn't have been unfair tbh but overall i also think Belgium did deserve it more.

Going to be a well balanced game with Italy in the next one, there's no clear favorite at first sight but IMO that depending on who will be available to both sides on matchday i'd even go as far to say that a fully fit Italy squad might start out with the better odds of advancing through.

Fernandes has looked lost the whole tournament. Had to be subbed out against France. And Felix has been nursing a training injury up until the last few days.

Bayern has a way of doing that to some players (see: Götze). And then loaning out the guy to the wilderness of the EPL wasn't exactly beneficial.

Lyon seems to have been a good restart for him.
