It makes sense from a statistical point of view . US has a giant population in confront to other football playing countries 300 mil . The only big footballing country close to that is brazil 200 mil , it's bound to grow good players . Adding that if the sport gets popular the US have a giant amount of money to spend through youth facilities , better trainers ect , it will easily make them Top football country in the world .
