Yeah, I can smell the bullshit from here. Right after a certain someone scored a hat trick yesterday? As far as I know this has never happened in the history of the award.

I wonder if Ribery had won originally & they decided it was too "boring" or something.
He's probably too ugly to win the award :D

I watch a lot of Portuguese television, and I ain't never heard anything like that.

But what's worth pointing out is the amazing assists that Joao Moutinho made on two of his goals. :D

It's hilarious. The Portuguese must be the worst time-keepers on the planet. You'll watch a commercial for an upcoming show, and they'll just tell you "today" or "tomorrow". No time. Just keep watching. And then suddenly at around 17 minutes past the hour, it might come on.

Just bizarre.

Been rather amused at how aggressively the English have been talking up Joe Hart after the Germany game.

His making another error coming racing off his line to complicate a controlled situation is just being ignored because it didn't result in a goal, unlike what happened when he did it against Chelsea.

I haven't noticed much of it, but generally at international level the media judge the England team and players on a game-by-game basis. Beat Spain in meaningless friendly 'bring on the world', Rooney has a good game 'Rooney is back!', lose to Germany B in meaningless friendly 'reality check, we go into the tournament as underdogs'.

I'm sure they think they are doing Hart a favour, as it's obvious if he doesn't play well then England will be out early, but you can't ignore his continually poor decision making. He's almost trying too hard.

That said, Smalling is also absolutely brainless.

all of dortmund's defensive line is out injured. they're playing the bayern and napoli games with their second string, even the fullbacks.

What logic & common sense is there to reopen it?
Not sure really, I was talking about whether or not the voting is rigged.

You can rave on about how much the prize is more of a popularity contest than an actual measure of who the best player is, but theres no way you can argue that its rigged. It's one of the few things FIFA are transparent about.
