I find it funny that many people thought that Sweden had a chance.
Which makes this comparisons between Ibra and Cristiano strange. Cristiano is playing with a team filled with stars in Europe while Ibra is playing with fillers from around Europe.

If only they didnt go nuts searching for the 3rd it would have been different. They handed the game to Ronaldo on a silver platter.
That's probably true. And the supporting cast for Ibra isn't there as it is for Portugal. That said, Ronaldo's supporting cast somewhat underperformed, considering. Ronaldo practically carried this team into the WC.

I didn't watch that match, but with 18 minutes to go and with Portugal shocked after conceding twice in three minutes, I wouldn't say that there was any place for tactical finish of the game. They just had to push for the third, fully acknowledging the risk of conceding on a counter.

On the other late match, France were ridiculously dominating the match against Ukraine, even though they didn't create enough. The Ukrainians were pushed in a bottle right from the kick off.

Rather easy win for Croatia, even with a man less. From the highlights, it looks like Greece fully deserved to qualify, since they were the much better team overall in 180 minutes.

We have the 32 teams. Anyone knows the pots?

Indeed. I was expecting more from the rest. Still time to improve though but Portugals back 4 will have a hard time against fast agile forwards.

It was stupid. Plenty of time and Sweden is also dangerous on high balls. In retrospect, it was clearly a tactical mistake from Sweden.

The just pushed too far. You dont do that with a team like Portugal especially with Ronaldo's form. Probably throw caution to the wind in the last 5 minutes.
