Makes you wonder why/how they were so pathetic for so many decades.
The pressure of living up to those two World Cup wins of 1930 and 1950.. I guess many successive generations just folded under the weight of that; and it's taken until the 2010 WC to shake off those demons. Let's face it, they're something of a golden generation, up front they've got Forlan, Suarez, Cavani with Hernandes and Ramirez up and coming (and Abreu as well going back a couple of seasons). Midfield they've got Perez, Rios, Gargano, Gonzalez, Rodriguez, Lodiero and Eguren. In the back line they've got the two Pereiras on either side, with Caceres, Godin and Lugano locking down the CB positions with Scotti in reserve and Coates up and coming, then add Muslera in goals.. Pretty decent squad if you ask me.

F*cking Uruguay, for a population of what, 3 million? They are comparably a superstar factory!!

:fap::fap:
4MM. It really ups the ante for any excuse-laden country. (Sorry, Portugal. :p)

Poor Uruguayans, i cheered for France only because of Paul.
This. Areola won me over, but the rest did not. :pado:

Should we call Roma and tell them not to feed Nico Lopez after midnight?

Roma has been bucking for the fugliest club in the world title since before the likes of Taddei (Leandro Castan, etc., etc.).
