Yes sometimes i agree that some friendlies are scheduled at some bad times but tell me something, if friendlies didnt happen when do you expect the team/ coach to pick there players and see which players play better with eachother? during qualifications is not the best time to start experimenting brand new players/youngsters. You lose 2 games and your qualification run is over.
Exactly, they need to be played at more sensible times, not just before the CL is due to start again.

You are missing the ARG-POR match, which has been better than any match played in the WC. (It ain't saying much, but it sure is more exciting than the entire tournament combined.)
On the contrary, I have been watching, but even the many turgid matches at the World Cup where better than this, because of what was at stake.

Friendlies mean nothing at the end of the day, and nobody recalls them.

I don't agree with that. As a fan of the sport, I am far more entertained by this friendly than the grueling, boring drama that dominated WC 2010.
