I kinda like it that Italy equalized. They'd have beaten Cyprus in the last round and they'd have won the 1st place anyway.
This way they secure the 1st place tonight and they can play with the B squad on Wednesday (hopefully without Grosso, Giorgio, Legro, Camo and Iaquinta).
That would be sweet.

Sorry but I just can't even compare this Italy to the old one. It's not even close. I'm not trying to bash and laugh at Azzurri fans but I just don't find Italy that strong anymore. See, even those who you mentioned are mostly just average players. Pazzini was never good in my books while Foggia is an average player. Motta is good and Criscito is still too raw. Cassano should play, though.

They just can't replace Cannavaro, Nesta, old Zambrotta and Pirlo, Totti, Del Piero etc. These new players are no where near that level. I don't like their forwards. I used to love watching Italy but now...not so much at all.

Defense, midfield, forward. They lost power at almost every position.
I still think you are underrating Italy but I have to agree with your second paragraph, these players are no replacements for those of old

When will we stop saying the same things using different words?

They might not be any where as strong as the old one, but they'd surely be better than the washed up players playing for the Azzurri now... Cassano alone would make a lot of difference to this squad...
