Forza Camo, Iaquinta and Legrottaglie returning healthy from this match.

Forza Ronaldinho, Zambrotta, Maicon, Pirlo, Julio Cesar, Adriano, Pato and Bonera returning from England with serious injuries.

seeing the callups by lippi i really think that italy have no chance of winning the wc in 2010. the players are still to old or out of form..lippi should really try something different...

If there's one thing we can't question, is Lippi's ability and getting the best out of his players. The man hasn't lost yet with the Azzurri.

Yeah, but changes are needed. Even if Lippi gets 200% of his players in June 2010, it won't be enough if he goes to South Africa with the current players.

In June 2010 they will be too old.

Buffon (32)
Zambrotta (33)- Cannavaro (37)- Chiellini (26)- Grosso (33)
Gattuso (32) - Pirlo (31)- De Rossi (27)
Camoranesi (34) - Toni (33) - Del Piero (35)

From the other players he called for the Brazil friendly, Legrottaglie will be 34, Perrotta will be 33, Di Natale will be 33, Iaquinta 31.

Others, like Dossena 29, Gamberini 29, Bonera 29, Quagliarella 27, Pepe 27 will be under 30 but they lack quality.

Lippi has to hope that Gilardino, Aquilani, Montolivo and Rossi will be on top form in South Africa.

Italy simply doesn't have the quality from 2006. They had a relatively old team back then and in south africa that team will be 4 years older. Apart from Chiellini neither Donadoni nor Lippi managed to find a sure starter with the required quality to play for a WC winning NT.

IMO, WC 2010 will be much worse for Italy than the 2008 EURO. But none of Lippi and Donadoni is to be blamed for that. It's just that Italy didn't produce enough quality to replace Zambrotta, Nesta, Maldini, Cannavaro, Pirlo, Gattuso, Del Piero, Totti, Camo or Inzaghi.
