Juventus confirm Dybala injury
By Football Italia staff

Juventus have confirmed Paulo Dybala suffered an injury to his right thigh flexors, and his prognosis will be assessed “in the coming days”.

The forward pulled up clutching his hamstring after a sprint in last night’s win over Cagliari, and appeared to be in tears as he left the pitch.

This morning it was reported that he would be out for a month, and the Bianconeri have now given an update on his condition.

“The player underwent an MRI scan this morning,” a statement on the club’s website announced.

“It showed a distractive lesion to the right thigh flexors which, with caveats relating to the earliness of the assessment, can be defined as being mild to medium.

“The player will immediately start rehabilitative care and his prognosis will be better assessed in the coming days.”

Giorgio Chiellini required no further attention for a head wound, and Sami Khedira has recovered after a blow to the head which caused him to be substituted.

Khedira and ALex Sandro both were training with the team today whereas Matuidi got to rest after a knock.
I wasn’t sure because I recall Sandro coming off shortly after that knock.

Lol it’s bad when you know in your heart asamoah should be playing because he has been the better LB.

Matuidi misses Juventus training | Football Italia

Blaise Matuidi missed Juventus training today, as he has a severely bruised thigh after the win over Genoa.

The French international played the whole 90 minutes of last night’s match, in which both Sami Khedira and Alex Sandro had to go off injured.

Those two worked in the gym in a recovery session along with the rest of the players who featured last night, the Bianconeri’s official website confirms, while the rest of the group did athletic and technical work with the ball.

Matuidi skipped today’s session though as he reported “a severe contusion to the right thigh with consequent bleeding” after last night’s match.

His situation will be evaluated in the coming days, with the rest of the squad returning to full training tomorrow morning.
