'Higuain facing 2-3 weeks out’ | Football Italia
An orthopaedic surgeon claims Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain is facing “2-3 weeks out” as a result of his imminent hand surgery.
Higuain’s operation comes at a difficult time as Juve travel to Scudetto rivals Napoli on Friday, but Matteo Vitali warned the striker could also miss the Bianconeri’s similarly-crucial clash with Inter early next month.
“Recovery times will be around 2-3 weeks,” he told Premium Sport.
“Could the operation have been put off? Pain affects performance and a fall on the fracture could turn this injury into something even more serious.
“The stance of preserving the player, I believe, is dictated by these assessments.”

Lichtsteiner in doubt for Napoli | Football Italia
Juventus risk being without Stephan Lichtsteiner for the showdown with Napoli, as he’s struggling with a thigh injury.
The Bianconeri are almost certain to be without Gonzalo Higuain for the match, with the two sides separated by four points in the Serie A table.
During today’s training session at Vinovo, Juan Cuadrado, Federico Bernardeschi and Giorgio Chiellini trained separately as they recover from knocks.
The club also announced that “Lichtsteiner has aggravated the flexor muscles in his right thigh and will be assessed in the coming days”.
It’s a crucial fortnight for Juve, with the Partenopei on Friday, Olympiakos on Tuesday and Inter on the following Saturday.
